It depends on what you're trying to play together, and how bad your friends are. Like I played Paladins with a friend in the Phillipines without much issue. But I also play toxikk on eu servers with 150-200 ping. Paladins is more lag friendly, where toxikk uses old-school raw net code that requires compensation for lag.

It was funny because my Polish friend I was playing toxikk with was talking shit about me mentioning having to compensate for lag, and it being hard when my ping isn't stable. So I had him play with my on a us server, and he found new respect for what I had been dealing with and how well I was doing.
