the leftist parties here in Spain are suing VOX for "going against the constitution" for being fascists, they're not fucking fascists...

2018-12-13 10:12:07 UTC

Liberals don't have that American conservative mindset of powering through

2018-12-13 10:12:10 UTC

I hope they win

2018-12-13 10:12:22 UTC

Gillotine style

2018-12-13 10:12:34 UTC

@Xinyue didn't y'all recently ban your "far right" party?

2018-12-13 10:12:37 UTC

>but in Finland, its the other way around. the centre and the ultra-right has been gaining ground almost with no input from the left. the old left, the kind of left I think is actual left, has evaporated from what once was a pretty eminent place in Finnish politics. SKDL/FDPL was one of the largest communist alliances outside Soviet bloc in Europe, which was a force in government pretty much nonstop 1945-1991 and now its totally gone

this was my point from earlier though, I genuinely don't thnk socialism can be revived anymore, same for fascism, you only have liberal forms of it

2018-12-13 10:12:39 UTC

even Sweden doesn't do that

2018-12-13 10:13:11 UTC

Liberalism destroyed Socialism, and both Socialism and Liberalism destroyed nationalism

2018-12-13 10:13:19 UTC

Politics are a joke in Holland.

2018-12-13 10:13:19 UTC

you only hve liberalised parasite forms of it

2018-12-13 10:13:24 UTC

yeah the problem with the leftoids is that they call everything fascism, I've been called a fascist, my comrades have been called fascist, etc. however, there is some truth to their analysis of fascism and how it relates to the rest of the right, its simply that they take far too accusatory a line when it comes to identifying these in social relations

2018-12-13 10:13:33 UTC

The fakeness is just so obvious.

2018-12-13 10:13:36 UTC

>politics are a joke in holland

you're not a country, you're our catholic bitch

2018-12-13 10:13:41 UTC

we will turn you catholic again

2018-12-13 10:13:46 UTC

o.o

2018-12-13 10:14:07 UTC

2018-12-13 10:14:11 UTC

Europeans lack the drive that Americans possess

2018-12-13 10:14:14 UTC

everything below me is gay

2018-12-13 10:14:15 UTC

>everything above me is authoritarian fascims

2018-12-13 10:14:24 UTC

Americans can actually change things through politics because of their drive

2018-12-13 10:14:34 UTC

fam....

2018-12-13 10:14:36 UTC

Europeans are just low energy

2018-12-13 10:14:41 UTC

Y'all call Merkel Right Wing in Europe so i don't even know anymore what you mean by Left

2018-12-13 10:14:53 UTC

> this was my point from earlier though, I genuinely don't think socialism can be revived anymore, same for fascism, you only have liberal forms of it

You say that, but I think that there's just been a general lull in socialist movements, in large part due to the dissolution of USSR. this was a huge event for the world socialist movement, something that sent us in a downwards spiral. But, we can make a comeback - in some sense, Bolivarian Revolution which itself took place years after the USSR's dissolution, showed us the way - despite all the failures

2018-12-13 10:15:01 UTC

our right wing party is more liberal than america's liberal party

2018-12-13 10:15:04 UTC

it's so fucking incredible

2018-12-13 10:15:20 UTC

we all agree that liberalism needs to die

2018-12-13 10:15:30 UTC

Spain is okay, they didn't get in alot of foreign immigrants

2018-12-13 10:15:36 UTC

yeah liberalism needs to go and die, preferably someplace uncomfortable

2018-12-13 10:15:39 UTC

like literally, Finland banned their so called far right party but apparently far right is on the rise

2018-12-13 10:15:44 UTC

Liberalism is mainstream throughout the west

2018-12-13 10:15:48 UTC

It wont die

2018-12-13 10:15:48 UTC

>You say that, but I think that there's just been a general lull in socialist movements, in large part due to the dissolution of USSR.

yeah i can agree.... but the people who have spat in the face of the USSR i think is just astounding, mostly Stalin. I'd support any revolutionary movement tbh

2018-12-13 10:16:01 UTC

Liberalism as a position i can actually respect

2018-12-13 10:16:04 UTC

unlike commies

2018-12-13 10:16:11 UTC

Spain currently accepts the most foreign immigrants

2018-12-13 10:16:11 UTC

there is some sense to it

2018-12-13 10:16:19 UTC

there is no virtue to liberalism

2018-12-13 10:16:21 UTC

Well then Spain is going downhill

2018-12-13 10:16:39 UTC

>well then spain is going downhill

PSOE is dying, they're the status quo, as is PP, Spain is not going downhill

2018-12-13 10:16:42 UTC

@aymem so even far left parties in spain are constitutionalist? that's pretty sad dude

2018-12-13 10:16:52 UTC

why tf did Spanish vote for Podemos y'all know left is so messed up rn ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

2018-12-13 10:16:55 UTC

our far left party would be PODEMOS, and yeah

2018-12-13 10:17:18 UTC

Taking in foreign immigrants means destroying your peoples own identity

2018-12-13 10:17:22 UTC

>but the people who have spat in the face of the USSR i think is just astounding

there's a movement, perhaps mostly on /leftypol/ at this stage, which resists this tendency. I'd say most in that clique have managed to hit that sweet spot of critical support for Soviet style politics, although there exits the usual uncritical variety as well which is generally not good and usually leads to further failures down the road

2018-12-13 10:17:35 UTC

>leftypol

2018-12-13 10:17:36 UTC

lmao

2018-12-13 10:17:38 UTC

@Xinyue and i use the political spectrum in the liberal version btw, i know they're not left wing by your definition

2018-12-13 10:18:01 UTC

I was talking about /leftypol/ so wp ๐Ÿ˜„

2018-12-13 10:18:21 UTC

The Spanish Socialist Workers Party or PSOE certainly does not deserve the name it operates under

2018-12-13 10:18:24 UTC

There is no hope for Europe as long as the elite remains in place

2018-12-13 10:18:33 UTC

Barcelona treaty 1995

2018-12-13 10:18:35 UTC

it is neither socialist, nor for workers

2018-12-13 10:18:37 UTC

do you think Spain will deport all the migrants?

2018-12-13 10:18:42 UTC

@Xinyue oh my fucking god, they're called the socialist party, and anybody who supports PSOE is a socialist, and Podemos is called the communist party

2018-12-13 10:18:46 UTC

it's so fucking mindboggling

2018-12-13 10:18:52 UTC

@AdorableStormtrooper no, not even VOX would

2018-12-13 10:18:54 UTC

Europe will never deport

2018-12-13 10:18:57 UTC

PSOE is basically just another socdem party

2018-12-13 10:19:02 UTC

No western country will deport ever

2018-12-13 10:19:03 UTC

how it gets pegged as socialist is beyond me

2018-12-13 10:19:06 UTC

>basically

it IS

2018-12-13 10:19:06 UTC

Unless it's illegals

2018-12-13 10:19:12 UTC

But those aren't the problem

2018-12-13 10:19:13 UTC

it is the socdem party

2018-12-13 10:19:18 UTC

but our right wing parties are also socdem

2018-12-13 10:19:37 UTC

the only difference is that the right wing party has a huge christian base because they pretend to care about christians

2018-12-13 10:19:42 UTC

even Podemos is pretty socdem

2018-12-13 10:19:45 UTC

and the left wing with feminism and equality and the nordic fucking retarded model

2018-12-13 10:19:53 UTC

all of our parties are identical

2018-12-13 10:19:57 UTC

there is no difference to them

2018-12-13 10:20:00 UTC

how are the Invaders in Spain coming through the Ceuta Wall not illegals ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

2018-12-13 10:20:01 UTC

this is liberal democracy in action

2018-12-13 10:20:06 UTC

like sure PSUV and the Bolivarian Revolution was kind of lazy with the whole socialism thing, but at least you can see their theory being explicitly socialist and their programs moving towards that etc. With PSOE - and I did read the platform - its literally just some weird thing about online equality or some shit? I was reading a google translation of the spanish original text

2018-12-13 10:20:23 UTC

@AdorableStormtrooper they are, but we give them free healthcare and a place to stay while we face our crippling economy and shitty unemployment rate

2018-12-13 10:20:25 UTC

I was dumbstruck and in disbelief

2018-12-13 10:20:48 UTC

I just find it incredible people believe their bullshit

2018-12-13 10:20:53 UTC

also pedro sanchez is not white

2018-12-13 10:20:54 UTC

๐Ÿ˜Ž

2018-12-13 10:21:05 UTC

further, the term "means of production" ***aren't even mentioned in the fucking platform***

2018-12-13 10:21:08 UTC

like no mention of it

2018-12-13 10:21:08 UTC

none

2018-12-13 10:21:18 UTC

people legitimately voted for him because he was hot

2018-12-13 10:21:24 UTC

i'm not kidding

2018-12-13 10:21:30 UTC

@Xinyue it's bourgeois leftism, nothing new
this is the result of leftism having been overintellectualized by people like sartre and debord

2018-12-13 10:21:30 UTC

Spanish Trudeau

2018-12-13 10:21:36 UTC

> *people*

2018-12-13 10:21:38 UTC

pretty much actually

2018-12-13 10:21:39 UTC

lul

2018-12-13 10:21:52 UTC

@Xinyue they used to apparently be socialist (don't buy it)

2018-12-13 10:21:53 UTC

and btw - the lack of mention of MOP is *pretty low bar even for social democracy, which is still supposed to give a shit about social ownership to some degree*

2018-12-13 10:21:54 UTC
