I do
Screw the song
I'm a Prot and it's too prot
Get that out of here
thing is i'm personally in the mood for easy listening stuff like that
that isn't too Protty even for Prots kek
I have issues with contemporary worship music on a theological level
Even outside liturgy
The songs are written by liberal Pentecostals usually
The lyrics are almost always suspect
This one is one of my favorites. I love Josquin
Otche Nash is Slavonic chant for Lord's Prayer
I'm not a massive fan of modern worship either, but OC Supertones are decent imo.
Lol, Christian ska is hardly "worship" music though
Music of a Christian nature but in modern genre is cool with me
Just not in liturgy
Contemporary Worship is a thing of it's own though and is not good IMO in or out of the liturgy
The lyrics are often heretical
And the general style of the music lends itself to "muh feels" and Evangelical Mysticism
Touche
Ever listen to five iron frenzy?
I do
Great band
Lead singerโs a lib tho
Never heard of them, but i will
guys

i think the favored title right now is under the altar
God bless. The band is fire.
but that's still being decided
Very cool. I always shill the band whenever there's a Christian music thread
One guy even bought the disc.
I can send you some of my scratch tracks

That album wasn't me recording, but I had a hand in the material
new album is all me on guitars
I was in Hesychast when it was named Vikarbyrgi, and after that I got a bit euphoric and left
then 2017ish they asked me to come back
as it had turned out, we all became orthodox
Ethan, the drummer, was chrismated a couple months ago
Pretty amazing.
Feels almost like providence
The vocalist has been orthodox for a bit
it really was
it works out well for me since I
I'm not a fan of live bands
so we just tab out songs and send them back and forth, then just record what we have
this is some of a new song that I'm messing around with to find a decent tone
but now the opioids are hitting lol
Its pretty melodic, nice
Although needs a lot of polish stil
oh of course

I'm using a new recording program and I'm trying to get comfy with it
gotta heal my fingers up though
Gotcha.
It's good non the less

Metal is not for everyone
Oh shit, props man! I've listened to the band every once in a while when it's been mentioned in /rel/ but not on the regular. Any chances of you guys getting on spotify some day?

Album is free on band camp though
Always a great listen
for maximum comfiness

sorry for being a weeb but this song is beautiful

Anglicans should adopt Latin, tbh.
I'm not annoyed about if they're using English translations from Douay Rheims and what have You, but still.
I've never been able to get behind the monotone of the liturgical psalms. It sounds cool in Latin and all, but it really doesn't capture the spirit of the texts. In the effort to make them more universal it strips the unique joys and sorrows from the context.
Go to vespers as well as mass.
