Its the respect you get for wearing an older suit in game

2019-07-18 02:30:57 UTC

@Jack of Trades I would hope not

2019-07-18 02:31:01 UTC

you're only talking and dealing with other marines in game. The older your shit is or the more decorated, the more charisma you can get.

2019-07-18 02:31:03 UTC

I guess respect is some form of Charisma

2019-07-18 02:31:19 UTC

only armor which can't be upgraded is MK 1

2019-07-18 02:31:28 UTC

For obvious reasons

2019-07-18 02:31:29 UTC

and it's incompatable with all other armor types in the rules.

2019-07-18 02:31:39 UTC

It, honestly, dependa on the working definition of Charisma.

2019-07-18 02:31:44 UTC

So you're fucked because if the ship is depressurized you can't survive in space.

2019-07-18 02:31:52 UTC

Mainly because most of the spare parts and potential upgrades have rusted away

2019-07-18 02:32:14 UTC

nope, its because the suit's mostly with leather and chainmail. Only the torso is powered on mk1

2019-07-18 02:32:29 UTC

the rest is just mega heavy plating held together by chainmail and leather

2019-07-18 02:32:30 UTC

#doubt

2019-07-18 02:32:41 UTC

Yeah, in lore MK 1 power armor only hsa a powered torso

2019-07-18 02:32:41 UTC

Space age

2019-07-18 02:32:49 UTC

Chainmail and leather

2019-07-18 02:32:51 UTC

MK 1 is from an age of technobarbarianism before man returned to space

2019-07-18 02:32:56 UTC

^

2019-07-18 02:33:01 UTC

Hold on

2019-07-18 02:33:06 UTC

I might

2019-07-18 02:33:17 UTC
2019-07-18 02:33:21 UTC

Wearing Mk 1 armor to battle is like waving around a gigantic dick

2019-07-18 02:33:34 UTC

Did I confuse it with the fucking Thunder Warrior suits

2019-07-18 02:33:38 UTC

You clearly disrespect your enemy

2019-07-18 02:33:40 UTC

Well, combine the thought- "Spaceage chainmail and leather"

2019-07-18 02:34:13 UTC

MK 2 is the power armor used in Space and taken off of earth. MK 1 was only used for parades after it was used to conquer the earth, moon, and mars

2019-07-18 02:34:14 UTC

It's not like they were using steel links and untreated hide. XD

2019-07-18 02:34:43 UTC

MK 2 is also the only one which allows you to fight in a non-atmospheric zone

2019-07-18 02:34:55 UTC

I guess the mk 1 is the Thunder Warriors' armour then

2019-07-18 02:35:04 UTC

I remember wrong

2019-07-18 02:35:11 UTC

The mars and moon do have atmospheres built up in 40k. And yes, mk 1 is called "Thunder" pattern for that reason.

2019-07-18 02:35:22 UTC

mk2 is crusader, mk 3 is Iron.

2019-07-18 02:35:28 UTC

I thought it wasn't included in the series

2019-07-18 02:35:33 UTC

Huh

2019-07-18 02:35:33 UTC

it is

2019-07-18 02:35:54 UTC

Then correction

2019-07-18 02:35:54 UTC

mk 1 iron

2019-07-18 02:36:05 UTC

Mk2 armour is ugly*

2019-07-18 02:36:20 UTC

*crusade

2019-07-18 02:36:20 UTC

To my previous comment

2019-07-18 02:36:41 UTC

mk 2 didn't have free-helmets to look around with. it wasn't until the torsos got modified you could look about with it on.

2019-07-18 02:37:27 UTC

Also my DW party were either all blood angels/descendents or Ultra fags. Only 1 member was Space wolf and 1 was Black templar

2019-07-18 02:37:43 UTC

the black-templar rage-quit when our flesh tearer ate the renegade inquisitor's brain.

2019-07-18 02:37:55 UTC

because he quote "Wanted to redeem him"

2019-07-18 02:38:20 UTC

and instead flesh tearer boy did an Aliens, dropped from the ceiling and bit the fucker in the head in the game.

2019-07-18 02:39:01 UTC

Imagine playing as a wolf obsessed degenerate

2019-07-18 02:39:20 UTC

That even raises a red flag for me

2019-07-18 02:39:22 UTC

Our spacewolf was a wolf priest :D, the guy was cool.

2019-07-18 02:39:51 UTC

2019-07-18 02:39:52 UTC

our two-ultrafags kept shouting "THIS IS NOT CODEX COMPLIANT" over and over again.

2019-07-18 02:40:52 UTC

"Are you sure Captian? The Codex Astartes does not support this action"

2019-07-18 02:41:13 UTC

Yep and our Flesh-tearer and space wolfs were always taking turns as squad lead.

2019-07-18 02:41:45 UTC

No one was playing as Dark Angels smh

2019-07-18 02:41:54 UTC

our Ultra Marines died to tyranids after just bragging they were "Tyrannid War Vets " and so good that they could take out an entire hive alone

2019-07-18 02:41:58 UTC

a single genestealer killed both

2019-07-18 02:42:12 UTC

Kek

2019-07-18 02:42:53 UTC

Now, what made the GM quit was I retired the librarian cause he kept trying to kill it because he'd just instant banish demons. So I made a dark angel, rolled better stats than before, better armor with everyone as witness, and chose to be the tech-Marine and take the Deathwing class since i started at the same level as everyone else.

2019-07-18 02:43:14 UTC

that was when he quit running the game, he penalized everyone before his rage-quit by samurai-jacking everyone to the past.

2019-07-18 02:43:34 UTC

a Demon of khorne, samurai jacked us

2019-07-18 02:43:40 UTC

Dark Angel tech priest

2019-07-18 02:43:43 UTC

Hmmm

2019-07-18 02:43:53 UTC

Tech Marine*

2019-07-18 02:43:56 UTC

In the deathwatch

2019-07-18 02:44:05 UTC

Gotta be a good story there

2019-07-18 02:44:16 UTC

Yeah, tech marine sounds more plausible

2019-07-18 02:44:29 UTC

I keep forgetting tech priests and tech marines are different

2019-07-18 02:44:41 UTC

Are they really though

2019-07-18 02:44:42 UTC

Though I would have loved the backstory behind a tech priest like that

2019-07-18 02:44:55 UTC

Tbh I played a tech priest in an Only War

2019-07-18 02:44:58 UTC

@Selemas stfu Tzeench

2019-07-18 02:45:39 UTC

As an only war tech priest, we were a Penal Reg and my job was to take the party to scavenge the dead and get gear. Instead I started converting the dead into war servators

2019-07-18 02:45:48 UTC

Excuse you, that's knife eared faggot to you mon-keigh

2019-07-18 02:46:01 UTC

I see Selemas slurps slaaneshi man sauce

2019-07-18 02:46:18 UTC

No-no, I'm craftworld

2019-07-18 02:46:22 UTC

Eldar aren't people

2019-07-18 02:46:35 UTC

I hope the Cenobites take them all

2019-07-18 02:46:59 UTC

A chaos god wasn't enough for that purpose, so don't hope much

2019-07-18 02:47:02 UTC

Tbh, it would be fun to see Pin-head as a Cop in a fantasy game.

2019-07-18 02:47:46 UTC

"He was J-Walking... now he shall feel exquisite pleasure and pain..." - Officer Pinhead after just having shot a chain into a criminal's ankle before pulling them into his van.

2019-07-18 02:48:27 UTC

Murder boning innocents does sound fun

2019-07-18 02:48:41 UTC

One month of Officer Pinhead and the streets are pretty clean.

2019-07-18 02:48:48 UTC

yup

2019-07-18 02:48:59 UTC

Most citizens are afraid to leave their homes, though.

2019-07-18 02:49:40 UTC

But if we deploy him in, say, Portland and least there isn't an Antifa problem anymore.

2019-07-18 02:49:41 UTC

"Officer pinhead, how do you get new recruits?" - News reporter

"Ill show you Tom..." - chains hook tom and pull him into a closet. out steps a cenobite tom in a cop uniform

"Anymore questions?" Pinhead asks as the camera man runs screaming.

2019-07-18 02:49:58 UTC

This is why we hired pinhead

2019-07-18 02:50:02 UTC

he has the solution to everything

2019-07-18 02:50:55 UTC

Though.. eventually there'd be an uprising against that level of "enforcement."

2019-07-18 02:51:08 UTC

but can they really stop him?

2019-07-18 02:51:58 UTC

Depends on how far it escalates.. at a certain level the powers that be start dropping bombs.

2019-07-18 02:53:21 UTC

How many nukes would the puzzlebox take, though?

2019-07-18 02:53:54 UTC

there's tons of puzzle boxes

2019-07-18 02:53:58 UTC

more than one

2019-07-18 02:54:41 UTC

like 8 i think with a guardian of each

2019-07-18 02:54:57 UTC

Hrm.

2019-07-18 02:55:33 UTC

The real question is which is the preferred apocalypse, then.

2019-07-18 02:56:01 UTC

neither
