The guy was really just defending himself but he did went too far and killed one of our Nazis.
Not sure how would that have worked out in Australia.
Are your lefties violent?
not really
nor our right wingers
Out here it is sometimes real war.
yeah ๐ฆ
They use every chance they have to settle the score.
I told you both parties have grandparents who fought in the WWII for different parties and now their heirs are like
We should give it back to them!
And the aussie was trying to be an anarchist here.
I'm really not sure what he was thinking when he decided to come for that anarchist reunion vacation
but after the murder it was like protests on both sides and both the Nazis and the anarchists used him to support their causes.
He managed to learn our language too and actually got hardcore after all this publicity and stuff.
Even now today the Nazis are gathering again in front of the court pledging to deny the parole and extend the sentence.
This is why I wondered would the Australian Nazis do something like that for a foregner killing one of their own?
I actually hope they return him back to Australia and finally get this case over with. It was too much policy actually.
I know people from both sides and can understand the situation and both him and the boy he murdered were like 20 at the time, so it was just a loss of life for me, but these fucking political idiots don't wish to let it go, neither the left, nor the right.
I really hope it would calm down after we deport him but you should know the guy has a lot of experience in policy by now.
I wonder can he do something back in Australia with such a background?
Like would the local anarchists/communists use him as a hero or something (ours surely did) or would he just disappear in the crowd?
I'm really curious how well connected are these groups across the states and continents.
We don't really have that kind of situation here. We don't have large mobs of nazis or anarchists.
maybe a few dozen in each state at most
nobody here cares about that stuff.
Well, I was just asking for a different perspective.
Thank you.
no worries
I t was nice to have an aussie perspective on this.

If anyone has any publicly accessible links about the interview, please post them.
I can't find anything yet.
that vid made me loose some brain cells, especially the ending<:pepelaugh:544857300179877898>
Whatever you say, climate forcing denier.
I love being climate forced tbh
Personally I believe that the earth goes through a curve of both hot and cold seasons. As per the ice age 10,000 years ago. Humanities industrialisation hasn't helped and has pushed the next ice age closer than it would have naturally been but we aren't purely to blame. As the ice caps melt and rainfall increases due to the lower salinity levels of the oceans I believe that over time this will lead to a lowering in global temperature, nothing major but the same as the gradual increase in temperatures that we're seeing at the moment the opposite will also hold true. Obviously there will be discrepencies due to the amount of heat the population of the world puts out through food/energy and manufacturing processes.
I could be 100% wrong but I just feel like we're excerbating a natural issue.
A couple thousand years ago, we have a drought.
Shaman says itโs because we didnโt pray at the worshipping stone enough.
Shaman says he knows more than me.
Iโll take Shaman advice. Iโll go to worshipping stone.
I donโt want to go against what the shaman says. I donโt want to be a denier.
A couple hundred years ago we have little ice age.
Priest says itโs because we didnโt go to church enough.
Priest says he knows more than me.
Iโll take priests advice. Iโll go to church.
I donโt want to go against what the priest says. I donโt want to be a denier.
Today the climate is changing.
Scientist says itโs because we are producing too much carbon.
Scientist says he knows more than me.
Iโll take the scientists advice. Iโll stop producing carbon.
I donโt want to go against what the scientist says. I donโt want to be a denier.
this needs to be f'n pinned
Well, big difference between zero evidence and some evidence
Not exactly what I'd call a good metaphor or whatever, but certainlyinteresting food for thought
the scientists have far better tools for investigating this sort of phenomenon, i think
You donโt find it odd that the solution to literally every problem is โHey, a bit of socialism will fix that right up.โ?
No, because they're socialists. And they think the answer to everything is more socialism
Snark aside, I am willing to concede that they know more about whatโs going on than I do. And the climate is slowly changing. Of course it is. It always is.
...but didnโt they say that polar bears would be extinct by now? (Their numbers are growing)
...And that both ice caps would be shrinking? (Antarctica is growing)
...And that low lying coastal areas would be under a foot of water by now? (They arenโt)
...And that Northern Scotland would have snow free winters? (Record snow fall)
Weโve had floods where theyโve said there would be droughts.
Weโve had bumper crops where they said there would be famines.
Again. They say the climate is changing.
Ok.
They say itโs because of carbon weโre producing.
Ok.
...theyโve gotten a lot wrong already.
That's why I usually avoid the climate debate
Too many idiots weighing in already
It just grinds my gears how when you bring this stuff up in public, you get the same looks that people give flat earthers.
I'll pick a side when they make up their mind
People are easily scared.
People are especially scared of the unknown.
The CO2 issue is an invisible threat.
Therefore people fear it more than anything else.
And so it is easy to brainwash them.
Itโs like, damn motherfucker, Iโm not denying science, Iโm quoting the scientist that just disproved your scientist.
It was the same thing with the nuclear threat.
It's the safest, cleanest energy source. Yet people decided to end it. Look at Germany, their fear has resulted in stopping all their nuclear plants.
Fear, before all other things, drives politics.
Both good and bad people use fear to justify their actions.
People forget that most countries don't do construction as janky as Russia
That's not actually the issue.
the mainstream solutions to climate change aren't socialist
The real issue is that there's a large scale misinformation campaign happening about these things.
Fear can be tackled with knowledge.
Thus people need to be misinformed to stay fearful.
For nuclear, allot of people's fears are still rooted in Chernobyl
There's another problem
Most people don't know what socialism means, and neither do they know what it is in reality.
I've been trying to inform
People easily ask for things when they don't know what those things really are.
Yeah but even then, even if we were to construct dodgy reactors that had a small risk of disaster.
Look at it from their perspective.
They think the apocalypse is coming. Within 12 years itโs all over according to them because of this climate thing.
Itโs a certainty. It needs ww2 levels of response.
Ok.
Build some nuclear reactors.
Carbon free energy.
Oh, fkn no, we canโt do that.
We canโt have a *risky* situation.
Even if it avoids *certain* annihilation.
The fuck?
Actally, nuclear is the safest source, not a risky one.
I know that
according to who is it over in 12 years
Their perspective
Is that it isnโt
a lot of lefties critique the dems for being too soft on climate change
The entire left side of politics
Also, the reactors that failed weren't thorium reactors. Which is what we should be using
Yeah, so when we eliminate known problems within nuclear, it would be even safer than it already is.
Essentially it would be a near non-existent threat.
Better than solar, ironically.
I can give you an idea how strong the propaganda machine is when it comes to these feared things.
My grandfather protested the Zwentendorf AKW (nuclear power plant) in Austria.
He spent his whole life on it and lived exlusively off donations. He had 8 kids that he neglected.
They're still working out their issues from this.
He successfully stopped the plant.
Thanks to him, Austria is worse off.
All because of fear turned propaganda.
He thought he was a hero. His supporters thought he was a hero.
They still believe it. Even his kids believe it. Some of them may not even want to believe otherwise, I mean what other good thing can they say about their dad if not that.
That he had conviction
He died of old age and will never get to know the truth: that he fell for a lie and wasted his life, and his children's lives.
What is a conviction if it's based on fear, not facts?
Is that really commendable?
And now the CO2 situation is the same as the nuclear situation.
Just confuse people with some graphs. Graphs work wonders.
Put on a lab coat, look like a scientist, have a PHD. It works wonders.
Does not matter how much you get paid for your bias.
The modern world suffers from something that the old world also suffered from: false authority.
Or you could say false prophets...
