Yes, but that's bed cause of how your feel about the environment. It's nice for us all to care about our environments, and we are mindful of it, look at the bigger picture of it all... He isn't making policies that oppose yours because he hates nature the way you love nature. Compromises are made because one can't have it both ways. Environment is a priority, but not the highest priority. Without some some things, other things can't function, and if you prioritize the wrong things, what you have collapses... Look at us here in SA, and how our infrastructure is falling apart, because priorities are nonsensical

Why is it always extremes with you lot? Ever heard of symbiosis? Mutual benefits. If you give up everything in favor of the planet, you are essentially undoing alot... Even your new greem clean tech of today wouldn't necessarily be possible without our dirty history. You're right, we probably wouldn't have had\learned everything we have\know now today without our dirty past, but backsliding and changing things now giving the States ability to choose basically whether or not environmental protections\regulations are "right for them" in regards to the fiscal success as a state, so in essence we're not really progressing any there, so nothing will really change for the better in that regard in efforts to ensure and prioritize capital gain. We can only see where it takes us and how it will affect the economy, environment, jobs, etc. We can only sit back and witness if his changes are good for our country or not. @Sheamus

@Cal it shouldnt even be needed unless it is something unplanned for, and also for old people there is pension fund, dont need grant money for that, but welfare is there, but not something you can easily get. The problem with grants are that people get these credit card like things that the money is paid in every month, you are supposed to request it every month you need it, and provide a valid reason why you need it, and you ought to be discouraged from depending on it, unless you really have a problem that not even the government can help you with, like being paralyzed for example.
