dafuq is with her face
looks like a horror show
but getting back to the matter,
I think the issue isn't as much ideology/religion
As much as a lack of togetherness,
If you have support, you become more confident and go out of your comfort zone because you know if stuff goes bad, you have support to get you back up
Family, Friends
This IS what religion gives a boon for though, because it provides you with a group of like-minded people who you can befriend and make your support structure
with single parent households, the strain on surviving for the parent prevents them from giving a strong family support, so that is lacking
and with social media and stuff, a lot of people don't have an true "close" friends that will have their back
And with that, some become desperate for any given support, and they find it in these cult-like groups like SJW's etc who proclaim they're there for "everyone"
and they then indoctrinate those people into becoming footsoldier/monsters for their ideology
And these people have no one outside this cult to fall back on for support, so they stay out of fear of abandonment
The thing is people will always join a community it's just human nature.
Its... Rational, the ones who dont dont reproduce
yes, for that sense of togetherness
So you end up with people who are predisposed to live in societies.
hell, we're on this channel for much the same reason
We find a sense of community here, because we can discuss our views and such with people who enjoy discussing it ๐
I don't see why moderate christianity is a bad thing. The way I see it people will either be religious or nihilists if they don't find another world view for them to fill their feeling of meaninglessness in their lives.
I dont think most people are explicitly anti thiestic
Though being antithiest is almost thiest at that point
I think alot of people in the west just don't belive in god which is different from being against religion all together.
thats very true i think
Well depends really, I am sure alot of us believe in some higher power, from being an afterthought to being something that controlls your very lives
Like the guy who says god bless vs the guy who goes on missionary trips
Though I think it is more important to focus on the result of that belief
True I think most people can be moderate christians. There will always be a small group of radicals like the puritans of old and the SJWs of today. I think that having most people be moderate christians gives them meaning in life.
Well its humanity really, dissent drives change.
I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that there aint a lot of people actively preaching a meaning in life outside of religion though
Like the athiesm+ movement?
so the people that can't find a meaning themselves flock to religious groups to give them a meaning
atheism+ is just feminism
What it appears to be at first is some anti relligious movement.
Yeah I know its a feminist movement
Hiding behind another
I are that 5% of people go against the norms of a society but most people aren't like that.
Thing is what norms really.
What do we start defining someone as deviant
Like we all must have some behaviour that the majority of humanity dont
Most bad habits for example
I mean they will basically just do what most other people do, not everyone is a galileo.
Ah yeah that makes sense
I think that is cuz most people are not clever enough to form their own opinion really
There is some intelligence in accepting one however
and i'm not saying that to slag off most of humanity, i just honestly don't think the majority of the world is smart enough to define their own lives
The intelligence lies in chaging ones opinion when a better explanation appears
Its rational you are looking for, it is rational to follow something that has worked before
I think it's just not practical for everyone in a society to be a revolutionary.
no, i genuinely mean that people are too stupid to form their own thoughts ๐ not even going as far as them reaching a rational level
Hmm, I was thinking in sense of say tech advancement
reinventing he wheel
Like aussie saying, its counterproductive for everyone to change for the sake of it
oh definately
but revolution is usually a bad thing
I'm say that isn't going to be a thing every because if you want to have a working societyyo need to have people who will follow the norms of a society.
Hence why sometmes you cant let it go too bad
Like what causes commies to come about
rational people can follow the norms of society, if the norms are rational
Thing is rationality isnt something to strive for, like say in 1984, it is rational to folow big brother
things like "Don't murder people" is a norm we don't have to follow for the sake of society, its genuinely just a good norm to uphold ๐
for our own sakes
Thing is it is also based on rationality. You kill someone, someone will kill you
Hurt you in some way
I don't think it's a matter of intelligence, a society just needs to have most people do the every day things.
yes
Or not to expect everyone to be galeleos in their own thing and that most will be mediocre at best
but i'm saying that if a society is smart, it will have rational rules and norms
And then the people will follow it because they agree with it
Not for the sake of "we must follow the law because society needs us to"
I mean, 50% of society will be below average
Democracy is fundamentally flawed
I disagree @Dr.Wol . Most people are followers and always will be.
you cant give ppl the same rights just because they exist
ppl gotta earn their rights
otherwise u get ppl exchanging votes for welfare
yes, because most people aren't smart enough to have a rational thought, i'm honestly convinced that like for atleast 40% of the people, thinking actually hurts their brain
So they rather just follow with what they have been taught sounds nice
I agree @Ivanfr Human "rights" are more privileges like freedom of speech when shit hit the fan in the Civil war the press lost that "right".
human rights are a gift, they're given to us by the people who fought and died for them
And i 100% agree it is disgusting to see people throw that gift away
@Dr.Wol You can't have a herd of shepherds, you need some sheep.
they shouldnt be a gift
To be honest the statement is not that people are not inherent followers, but that we shoud not force them to be
gifts destroy society
sadly yes Aussie, that is the issue
@GingaBomber I don't think people need to be forced to it just happened.
Not saying they are forced either but yes, it is kinda the result of generations of conditioning
This is a controversial idea, but humans are supposed to be 1% elite 99% soldiers
thats how our biology works
Supposed implies some higher meaning
@Dr.Wol It may be sad but hierarchy just happens.
its in the DNA
the IQ distribution is not an accident
Oh i'm not arguing that heirarchy is a bad thing, in fact i'm all for heirarchy, simply because i don't think 1 person is equal in performance to another
I dont think theres any argument here
The Japanese have a narrow bell curve but they still have a hierarchy.
You think? The bell curve can only give a general idea of their intelligence.
A scientist will always be below a manager
And an engineer will always be below a ceo
IQ is the single most accurate variable to measure intelligence
I was arguing that a society should have norms that the smart people can agree are fair, so that those who are smart enough to understand them don't have a problem with them,
The "sheep" in society will follow any norms, even those bad for them
So like the amendments and the constitution?
yes
I just think that most people don't think for themsleves and never will.
you mean the rights that the low IQ sheep want to abolish? yea
Some dont want to
You rather be in the garden of eden?
Or suffer and toil
You disagree and be cast out.
Idiots are not supposed to have money anyway
Welfare is the main problem
