2018-05-31 10:25:05 UTC

dafuq is with her face

2018-05-31 10:25:16 UTC

looks like a horror show

2018-05-31 10:36:37 UTC

but getting back to the matter,

I think the issue isn't as much ideology/religion

As much as a lack of togetherness,
If you have support, you become more confident and go out of your comfort zone because you know if stuff goes bad, you have support to get you back up

Family, Friends

This IS what religion gives a boon for though, because it provides you with a group of like-minded people who you can befriend and make your support structure

2018-05-31 10:38:11 UTC

with single parent households, the strain on surviving for the parent prevents them from giving a strong family support, so that is lacking
and with social media and stuff, a lot of people don't have an true "close" friends that will have their back

And with that, some become desperate for any given support, and they find it in these cult-like groups like SJW's etc who proclaim they're there for "everyone"

2018-05-31 10:39:08 UTC

and they then indoctrinate those people into becoming footsoldier/monsters for their ideology

And these people have no one outside this cult to fall back on for support, so they stay out of fear of abandonment

2018-05-31 10:40:10 UTC

The thing is people will always join a community it's just human nature.

2018-05-31 10:40:58 UTC

Its... Rational, the ones who dont dont reproduce

2018-05-31 10:41:02 UTC

yes, for that sense of togetherness

2018-05-31 10:41:16 UTC

So you end up with people who are predisposed to live in societies.

2018-05-31 10:41:40 UTC

hell, we're on this channel for much the same reason

We find a sense of community here, because we can discuss our views and such with people who enjoy discussing it ๐Ÿ˜„

2018-05-31 10:42:54 UTC

I don't see why moderate christianity is a bad thing. The way I see it people will either be religious or nihilists if they don't find another world view for them to fill their feeling of meaninglessness in their lives.

2018-05-31 10:43:19 UTC

I dont think most people are explicitly anti thiestic

2018-05-31 10:43:35 UTC

Though being antithiest is almost thiest at that point

2018-05-31 10:44:17 UTC

I think alot of people in the west just don't belive in god which is different from being against religion all together.

2018-05-31 10:44:45 UTC

thats very true i think

2018-05-31 10:45:06 UTC

Well depends really, I am sure alot of us believe in some higher power, from being an afterthought to being something that controlls your very lives

2018-05-31 10:45:32 UTC

Like the guy who says god bless vs the guy who goes on missionary trips

2018-05-31 10:46:54 UTC

Though I think it is more important to focus on the result of that belief

2018-05-31 10:48:12 UTC

True I think most people can be moderate christians. There will always be a small group of radicals like the puritans of old and the SJWs of today. I think that having most people be moderate christians gives them meaning in life.

2018-05-31 10:49:10 UTC

Well its humanity really, dissent drives change.

2018-05-31 10:49:26 UTC

I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that there aint a lot of people actively preaching a meaning in life outside of religion though

2018-05-31 10:49:54 UTC

Like the athiesm+ movement?

2018-05-31 10:49:54 UTC

so the people that can't find a meaning themselves flock to religious groups to give them a meaning

2018-05-31 10:50:02 UTC

atheism+ is just feminism

2018-05-31 10:50:28 UTC

What it appears to be at first is some anti relligious movement.

2018-05-31 10:50:38 UTC

Yeah I know its a feminist movement

2018-05-31 10:50:49 UTC

Hiding behind another

2018-05-31 10:50:50 UTC

I are that 5% of people go against the norms of a society but most people aren't like that.

2018-05-31 10:51:20 UTC

Thing is what norms really.

2018-05-31 10:51:49 UTC

What do we start defining someone as deviant

2018-05-31 10:52:09 UTC

Like we all must have some behaviour that the majority of humanity dont

2018-05-31 10:52:22 UTC

Most bad habits for example

2018-05-31 10:52:26 UTC

I mean they will basically just do what most other people do, not everyone is a galileo.

2018-05-31 10:52:37 UTC

Ah yeah that makes sense

2018-05-31 10:52:52 UTC

I think that is cuz most people are not clever enough to form their own opinion really

2018-05-31 10:53:29 UTC

There is some intelligence in accepting one however

2018-05-31 10:53:36 UTC

and i'm not saying that to slag off most of humanity, i just honestly don't think the majority of the world is smart enough to define their own lives

2018-05-31 10:53:49 UTC

The intelligence lies in chaging ones opinion when a better explanation appears

2018-05-31 10:54:15 UTC

Its rational you are looking for, it is rational to follow something that has worked before

2018-05-31 10:54:21 UTC

I think it's just not practical for everyone in a society to be a revolutionary.

2018-05-31 10:54:55 UTC

no, i genuinely mean that people are too stupid to form their own thoughts ๐Ÿ˜› not even going as far as them reaching a rational level

2018-05-31 10:55:12 UTC

Hmm, I was thinking in sense of say tech advancement

2018-05-31 10:55:16 UTC

reinventing he wheel

2018-05-31 10:55:32 UTC

Like aussie saying, its counterproductive for everyone to change for the sake of it

2018-05-31 10:55:38 UTC

oh definately

2018-05-31 10:55:47 UTC

but revolution is usually a bad thing

2018-05-31 10:56:00 UTC

I'm say that isn't going to be a thing every because if you want to have a working societyyo need to have people who will follow the norms of a society.

2018-05-31 10:56:03 UTC

Hence why sometmes you cant let it go too bad

2018-05-31 10:56:17 UTC

Like what causes commies to come about

2018-05-31 10:56:33 UTC

rational people can follow the norms of society, if the norms are rational

2018-05-31 10:57:05 UTC

Thing is rationality isnt something to strive for, like say in 1984, it is rational to folow big brother

2018-05-31 10:57:28 UTC

things like "Don't murder people" is a norm we don't have to follow for the sake of society, its genuinely just a good norm to uphold ๐Ÿ˜›

2018-05-31 10:57:36 UTC

for our own sakes

2018-05-31 10:57:47 UTC

Thing is it is also based on rationality. You kill someone, someone will kill you

2018-05-31 10:57:54 UTC

Hurt you in some way

2018-05-31 10:58:07 UTC

I don't think it's a matter of intelligence, a society just needs to have most people do the every day things.

2018-05-31 10:58:14 UTC

yes

2018-05-31 10:58:44 UTC

Or not to expect everyone to be galeleos in their own thing and that most will be mediocre at best

2018-05-31 10:58:50 UTC

but i'm saying that if a society is smart, it will have rational rules and norms

And then the people will follow it because they agree with it
Not for the sake of "we must follow the law because society needs us to"

2018-05-31 10:58:57 UTC

I mean, 50% of society will be below average

2018-05-31 10:59:25 UTC

Democracy is fundamentally flawed

2018-05-31 10:59:33 UTC

I disagree @Dr.Wol . Most people are followers and always will be.

2018-05-31 10:59:45 UTC

you cant give ppl the same rights just because they exist

2018-05-31 10:59:49 UTC

ppl gotta earn their rights

2018-05-31 11:00:19 UTC

otherwise u get ppl exchanging votes for welfare

2018-05-31 11:00:24 UTC

yes, because most people aren't smart enough to have a rational thought, i'm honestly convinced that like for atleast 40% of the people, thinking actually hurts their brain

So they rather just follow with what they have been taught sounds nice

2018-05-31 11:01:19 UTC

I agree @Ivanfr Human "rights" are more privileges like freedom of speech when shit hit the fan in the Civil war the press lost that "right".

2018-05-31 11:01:58 UTC

human rights are a gift, they're given to us by the people who fought and died for them

And i 100% agree it is disgusting to see people throw that gift away

2018-05-31 11:02:05 UTC

@Dr.Wol You can't have a herd of shepherds, you need some sheep.

2018-05-31 11:02:13 UTC

they shouldnt be a gift

2018-05-31 11:02:15 UTC

To be honest the statement is not that people are not inherent followers, but that we shoud not force them to be

2018-05-31 11:02:19 UTC

gifts destroy society

2018-05-31 11:02:37 UTC

sadly yes Aussie, that is the issue

2018-05-31 11:02:47 UTC

@GingaBomber I don't think people need to be forced to it just happened.

2018-05-31 11:03:27 UTC

Not saying they are forced either but yes, it is kinda the result of generations of conditioning

2018-05-31 11:03:30 UTC

This is a controversial idea, but humans are supposed to be 1% elite 99% soldiers

2018-05-31 11:03:37 UTC

thats how our biology works

2018-05-31 11:03:48 UTC

Supposed implies some higher meaning

2018-05-31 11:03:51 UTC

@Dr.Wol It may be sad but hierarchy just happens.

2018-05-31 11:03:57 UTC

its in the DNA

2018-05-31 11:04:11 UTC

the IQ distribution is not an accident

2018-05-31 11:04:30 UTC

Oh i'm not arguing that heirarchy is a bad thing, in fact i'm all for heirarchy, simply because i don't think 1 person is equal in performance to another

2018-05-31 11:04:48 UTC

I dont think theres any argument here

2018-05-31 11:04:48 UTC

The Japanese have a narrow bell curve but they still have a hierarchy.

2018-05-31 11:05:13 UTC

You think? The bell curve can only give a general idea of their intelligence.

2018-05-31 11:05:25 UTC

A scientist will always be below a manager

2018-05-31 11:05:45 UTC

And an engineer will always be below a ceo

2018-05-31 11:05:47 UTC

IQ is the single most accurate variable to measure intelligence

2018-05-31 11:05:49 UTC

I was arguing that a society should have norms that the smart people can agree are fair, so that those who are smart enough to understand them don't have a problem with them,

The "sheep" in society will follow any norms, even those bad for them

2018-05-31 11:06:13 UTC

So like the amendments and the constitution?

2018-05-31 11:06:17 UTC

yes

2018-05-31 11:06:36 UTC

I just think that most people don't think for themsleves and never will.

2018-05-31 11:06:42 UTC

you mean the rights that the low IQ sheep want to abolish? yea

2018-05-31 11:06:58 UTC

Some dont want to

2018-05-31 11:07:10 UTC

You rather be in the garden of eden?

2018-05-31 11:07:14 UTC

Or suffer and toil

2018-05-31 11:07:33 UTC

You disagree and be cast out.

2018-05-31 11:08:09 UTC

Idiots are not supposed to have money anyway

2018-05-31 11:08:16 UTC

Welfare is the main problem
