The first third of it is kinda dense on jargon, but if you can get past that the rest is really illuminating.

There was an article recently which had pictures from a camp for 1,475 unaccompanied children. The pictures showed a hastily constructed camp inside of a warehouse using portable chain-link fences and emergency blankets/bedding.

Sounds better than some FOBs I've lived at.

Prison reform is hard enough as it is and i think mixing large amounts of illegals into the general population would only complicate things

Im completely ignorant about the situation in detention centers though, perhaps jail would be an improvement over their current situation

Ultimately though this is a left-wing tactic. Redefine the language to narrow acceptable thought.

All these euphemisms that have been coined for "political correctness" aren't about protecting someone's feelings. It's about controlling what is and is not acceptable in discourse, and therefore winning political battles by default.

Some folk believe the term was coined by the early national socialist movements in pre-Nazi Europe. Other believe it was coined by Lenin. But everyone agrees that the purpose of politically correct speech is to constrain thought.

I should say the 'original purpose'

Many people now would believe that current politically correct speech is good, while the original application of the concept was bad.

My advice would be to use the most literal wording possible.

Fukuyama was wrong on a lot of stuff, but he is thought provoking at least.

It's easy to say they should emulate more successful countries. It's hard to actually make that a reality when doing so upsets existing interests.
