The idea is you can do all the preparation in the rice cooker the night before, turn it on overnight to cook, and wake up the next morning with a ready-to-eat pancake

plus you only have to wash the rice cooker bowl afterwards

I read about it some years ago, but I always forget to try it

As for the mix, well, I've never learned how to make pancakes without it

so it's the logical thing for me to use
