2018-07-19 14:43:45 UTC

I think it's important that everyone feels that way.

2018-07-19 14:43:46 UTC

No

2018-07-19 14:43:50 UTC

The mourning

2018-07-19 14:43:52 UTC

I said people have the choice

2018-07-19 14:43:57 UTC

That's it's terrible and not to be normalized.

2018-07-19 14:44:00 UTC

Oh

2018-07-19 14:44:03 UTC

I think people should have a choice

2018-07-19 14:44:07 UTC

Yeah it's personal for me

2018-07-19 14:44:14 UTC

its not terrible, now you're pushing morality to it

2018-07-19 14:44:31 UTC

You can't force people to mourn

2018-07-19 14:44:32 UTC

it just shouldn't be promoted like "I wish i had an abortion! because it raises my feminism"

2018-07-19 14:44:53 UTC

I got an abortion to show that I can do what I want with my body

2018-07-19 14:44:57 UTC

Shit like that Michelle wolf video

2018-07-19 14:45:01 UTC

yes that is bad

2018-07-19 14:45:07 UTC

Where she promotes abortion

2018-07-19 14:45:13 UTC

Its horrifying

2018-07-19 14:45:20 UTC

i became a level 5 feminist now!!!

2018-07-19 14:45:24 UTC

It's like something out of a parody

2018-07-19 14:45:30 UTC

*oh wait something is happening*

2018-07-19 14:45:32 UTC

this chat made me a level 5 cancer

2018-07-19 14:45:37 UTC

But it's completely unironic

2018-07-19 14:45:42 UTC

What the hell man

2018-07-19 14:45:45 UTC

I view the abortion debate as a morality question, and im universally against pushing morality onto people, so long as what they're doing isnt hurting others.
The problem in this case, is many pro-life people consider the fetus always alive, and a person, so to them it is hurting another person.

2018-07-19 14:45:48 UTC

People should be taught that abortion is a last case scenario and learn to not get to the point where it's needed in the first place.

2018-07-19 14:45:54 UTC

I dont get /promoting/ abortion though

2018-07-19 14:45:58 UTC

That seems nonsensical

2018-07-19 14:46:00 UTC

your feminist evolved into

2018-07-19 14:46:04 UTC

FEMINAZI

2018-07-19 14:46:07 UTC

"Abortion needs to be on the dollar menu"

2018-07-19 14:46:52 UTC

"It shouldn't be expensive"

2018-07-19 14:47:09 UTC

Abortion should be there, if needs be, it shouldn't be covered by healthcare, it should be cheap

And it shouldn't be up for debate by moralists

2018-07-19 14:47:20 UTC

LOL i would not want aborted fetuses on teh dollar menu

2018-07-19 14:47:30 UTC

sounds liek some alex jones shit

2018-07-19 14:48:01 UTC

Fun fact

2018-07-19 14:48:09 UTC

I would argue that if morality wasn't factored into most things in life we would be in a really bad situation.

2018-07-19 14:48:12 UTC

There was an investigation recently

2018-07-19 14:48:23 UTC

About a piece of plastic being found under a tree

2018-07-19 14:48:41 UTC

name 1 thing that hasn't happened due to morality in the world?

2018-07-19 14:48:56 UTC

Without morality eugenics would be preferred dude

2018-07-19 14:49:07 UTC

well in denmark

2018-07-19 14:49:13 UTC

And many other horrible things

2018-07-19 14:49:21 UTC

well you shoudn't birth some people if you know they'll suffer as a result

2018-07-19 14:49:24 UTC

theyve used abortions to virtually eliminate down syndrom in their population

2018-07-19 14:49:30 UTC

Without morality what hitler did is perfectly sensible

2018-07-19 14:49:32 UTC

*hitlering intensifies*

2018-07-19 14:49:34 UTC

I like the simple "If it doesnt hurt anybody else, you can do it."

2018-07-19 14:49:39 UTC

Hitler did nothing wrooooooong! ๐Ÿ˜„

2018-07-19 14:49:49 UTC

Solves alot of problems that dont need to be problems.

2018-07-19 14:49:56 UTC

@Scarlet Child sex slavery

2018-07-19 14:50:02 UTC

Hurts the child

2018-07-19 14:50:08 UTC

without morality, people wouldn't allow hitler to do it, because they wouldn't have a morally justified reason to burn Jews

2018-07-19 14:50:08 UTC

well with some examples of hereditary diseases its a 50 50 chance youre born with it

2018-07-19 14:50:10 UTC

Not if you are drugging them

2018-07-19 14:50:11 UTC

Yes without morality you don't really have a concept of right/wrong.

2018-07-19 14:50:15 UTC

they felt justified cuz "Jews took all our money"

2018-07-19 14:50:30 UTC

@Dr.Wol not really

2018-07-19 14:50:32 UTC

If there are no morals you can just do whatever.

2018-07-19 14:50:38 UTC

and alot of people (my exes dad) dont get tested till theire well into adulthood

2018-07-19 14:50:44 UTC

White people in the west, are like Jews back in Nazi Germany, only they were a minority, and we're still a majority

2018-07-19 14:50:52 UTC

Jews were framed as making chaos with Catholics

2018-07-19 14:50:53 UTC

for huntingtons specifically in this case

2018-07-19 14:51:06 UTC

2018-07-19 14:51:20 UTC

also you don't need morals to have a sense of right/wrong

You just don't feel bad if you commit a wrong

2018-07-19 14:51:41 UTC

ayyyy sociopaths ftw

2018-07-19 14:51:51 UTC

look at leaders of the world

2018-07-19 14:51:59 UTC

American leaders for an easy example

2018-07-19 14:52:09 UTC

yeah i mean beign versed in moral ambiguity helps

2018-07-19 14:52:15 UTC

"Oh we must protect people, justice blabla"

And you shoot children with drone strikes "Oops, it was wrong info"

2018-07-19 14:52:46 UTC

they don't care eihter

If they had no sense of right/wrong they'd just say "well shit happens"

2018-07-19 14:52:51 UTC

but they sugarcoat it

2018-07-19 14:52:54 UTC

when youre arguing pragamtics

2018-07-19 14:53:01 UTC

and they start arguing semantics

2018-07-19 14:53:20 UTC

besides, morality is subjective

2018-07-19 14:53:30 UTC

Muslims find it morally acceptable to rape women who dress provocatively

2018-07-19 14:53:36 UTC

subjectivity is subjective

2018-07-19 14:54:31 UTC

i like the objectivists for arguing the objectivity of perceiving subjectivity

2018-07-19 14:54:46 UTC

the issues with morals, is that every person has their own

Its what they find acceptable / wrong

And your list of acceptable things isn't close to mine ๐Ÿ˜„

2018-07-19 14:54:51 UTC

Western nations (mainly the US) were founded on Christian values so if I was going to base morality off something I'd use that as the example rather than Islam.

2018-07-19 14:54:53 UTC

and defining the line between subjective and objective

2018-07-19 14:55:14 UTC

go ahead, it won't change the fact that christian morals are different from Islam morals

2018-07-19 14:55:15 UTC

or should i say the tangling web

2018-07-19 14:55:16 UTC

Of course if you aren't religious then morality is subjective.

2018-07-19 14:55:17 UTC

I would suggest that not all moral systems are equal by virtue of their output

2018-07-19 14:55:19 UTC

or Jewish morals

2018-07-19 14:55:26 UTC

Secular morals

2018-07-19 14:55:28 UTC

SJW morals

2018-07-19 14:55:34 UTC

that connects them epistemelogically

2018-07-19 14:55:35 UTC

Russian Morals vs Amerian morals

2018-07-19 14:55:44 UTC

If you are religious then you have a defined set of morals but applied to your own faith.

2018-07-19 14:55:50 UTC

yes

2018-07-19 14:55:59 UTC

just like in your country you have a defined set of morals too

2018-07-19 14:56:10 UTC

If you think you follow the only true faith then your values aren't subjective.

2018-07-19 14:56:11 UTC

that don't necesserialy apply in others

2018-07-19 14:56:26 UTC

Of course it's all hypothetical really.

2018-07-19 14:56:27 UTC

well by your own perception

2018-07-19 14:56:29 UTC

So the question then is,

Who is right?

2018-07-19 14:56:33 UTC

Who's morals are the right ones?

2018-07-19 14:56:49 UTC

The ones that produce the least shitty societies

2018-07-19 14:56:57 UTC

Because unless you can prove the existence of god then you can't prove a non subjective set of morals.

2018-07-19 14:57:11 UTC

Honestly, even for the religious, morals arent often set in stone.
