I think it's important that everyone feels that way.
No
The mourning
I said people have the choice
That's it's terrible and not to be normalized.
Oh
I think people should have a choice
Yeah it's personal for me
its not terrible, now you're pushing morality to it
You can't force people to mourn
it just shouldn't be promoted like "I wish i had an abortion! because it raises my feminism"
I got an abortion to show that I can do what I want with my body
Shit like that Michelle wolf video
yes that is bad
Where she promotes abortion
Its horrifying
i became a level 5 feminist now!!!
It's like something out of a parody
*oh wait something is happening*
this chat made me a level 5 cancer
But it's completely unironic
What the hell man
I view the abortion debate as a morality question, and im universally against pushing morality onto people, so long as what they're doing isnt hurting others.
The problem in this case, is many pro-life people consider the fetus always alive, and a person, so to them it is hurting another person.
People should be taught that abortion is a last case scenario and learn to not get to the point where it's needed in the first place.
I dont get /promoting/ abortion though
That seems nonsensical
your feminist evolved into
FEMINAZI
"Abortion needs to be on the dollar menu"
"It shouldn't be expensive"
Abortion should be there, if needs be, it shouldn't be covered by healthcare, it should be cheap
And it shouldn't be up for debate by moralists
LOL i would not want aborted fetuses on teh dollar menu
sounds liek some alex jones shit
Fun fact
I would argue that if morality wasn't factored into most things in life we would be in a really bad situation.
There was an investigation recently
About a piece of plastic being found under a tree
name 1 thing that hasn't happened due to morality in the world?
Without morality eugenics would be preferred dude
well in denmark
And many other horrible things
well you shoudn't birth some people if you know they'll suffer as a result
theyve used abortions to virtually eliminate down syndrom in their population
Without morality what hitler did is perfectly sensible
*hitlering intensifies*
I like the simple "If it doesnt hurt anybody else, you can do it."
Hitler did nothing wrooooooong! ๐
Solves alot of problems that dont need to be problems.
@Scarlet Child sex slavery
Hurts the child
without morality, people wouldn't allow hitler to do it, because they wouldn't have a morally justified reason to burn Jews
well with some examples of hereditary diseases its a 50 50 chance youre born with it
Not if you are drugging them
Yes without morality you don't really have a concept of right/wrong.
they felt justified cuz "Jews took all our money"
@Dr.Wol not really
If there are no morals you can just do whatever.
and alot of people (my exes dad) dont get tested till theire well into adulthood
White people in the west, are like Jews back in Nazi Germany, only they were a minority, and we're still a majority
Jews were framed as making chaos with Catholics
for huntingtons specifically in this case
also you don't need morals to have a sense of right/wrong
You just don't feel bad if you commit a wrong
ayyyy sociopaths ftw
look at leaders of the world
American leaders for an easy example
yeah i mean beign versed in moral ambiguity helps
"Oh we must protect people, justice blabla"
And you shoot children with drone strikes "Oops, it was wrong info"
they don't care eihter
If they had no sense of right/wrong they'd just say "well shit happens"
but they sugarcoat it
when youre arguing pragamtics
and they start arguing semantics
besides, morality is subjective
Muslims find it morally acceptable to rape women who dress provocatively
subjectivity is subjective
i like the objectivists for arguing the objectivity of perceiving subjectivity
the issues with morals, is that every person has their own
Its what they find acceptable / wrong
And your list of acceptable things isn't close to mine ๐
Western nations (mainly the US) were founded on Christian values so if I was going to base morality off something I'd use that as the example rather than Islam.
and defining the line between subjective and objective
go ahead, it won't change the fact that christian morals are different from Islam morals
or should i say the tangling web
Of course if you aren't religious then morality is subjective.
I would suggest that not all moral systems are equal by virtue of their output
or Jewish morals
Secular morals
SJW morals
that connects them epistemelogically
Russian Morals vs Amerian morals
If you are religious then you have a defined set of morals but applied to your own faith.
yes
just like in your country you have a defined set of morals too
If you think you follow the only true faith then your values aren't subjective.
that don't necesserialy apply in others
Of course it's all hypothetical really.
well by your own perception
So the question then is,
Who is right?
Who's morals are the right ones?
The ones that produce the least shitty societies
Because unless you can prove the existence of god then you can't prove a non subjective set of morals.
Honestly, even for the religious, morals arent often set in stone.
