have you seen it?
watch this once a year
๐
I did. Cop comes out to tell his side and he is like โyeah never talk to the policeโ
That was hilarious
I'm with @realz here. gibs me all da links
should be required watching for schools
I watch a guy called Good Luck America who used to be a sheriff and he is always saying โdonโt talk to the policeโ
Talking to the FBI is actually 10x worse.
btw
Yup
oh man
as long as the FBI has that law about lying to them
I aint ever being helpful to them about nothing without a lawyer
They can and will put you in prison if you 'forget' something.
And make a statement about it.
And it turns out it wasn't true.
I wonโt even say my name without a lawyer.
Donโt want to get Flynned
That's my general statement of how to deal with Police/FBI: Never resist, never talk.
You may have injustice done on you, but you'll be alive and able to fight it in court.
And likely earn a hefty settlement if you followed those steps and didn't do anything.
Leonard French is a patent lawyer. Why would he have covered Rittenhouse?
As I said, he likely didn't cover him.
They wanted left-wing lawyers.
Lol ok I see
I think Uncivil Law is patented lawyer too. He covers all sorts of things.
L. French is a copyright attorney.
Nate is my only left wing lawyer. Thatโs all I need ๐
A lot of these guys veer out of their lane. Their professional credibility is often predicated upon whether people like what they're saying. I like the ones who tell you up front that it's not their field and they hedge. They should also be able to present a tenable counter-argument to their opinion once in a while imo.
They tend to want to avoid being too political, and that's the case for L. French.
Because it lessens the amount of reach you have.
It alienates a potential audience.
That's my guess as to why a lot of legal youtubers avoid certain cases.
I honestly only watch like 5 lawyers. And Viva isnโt a practicing attorney anymore.
Probably so. I'm more concerned when they present themselves as experts in a particular because they can read legalese and cherry pick case law.
I think they are all providing their legal analysis as objectively as they can.
yea if Lehto would get political, he'd lose half his audience (though maybe he'd gain some more)
but it wouldn't be Lehto anymore
I don't want him ruining his show
but I do want some counter to Viva Frei, Uncivil Law, Nate The Lawyer, and our very own Robert
and I don't see that
oh and Rekieta
@realz ๐ I think he is like moderate right or maybe what used to be consequences Democrat
yea well he keeps you guessing
and that is a good thing
Welcome to Lehtos Law
you heard that in a female voice
@realz I think Viva is pretty objective. You canโt be completely objective or youโre just explaining facts and not interpreting anything
I like Rob. His politics are warped but he is at least able to articulate counterpoints to his own. A lot of guys either can't or don't care to take the time.
@Gypsy I wouldn't know if he is objective, because there is no one countering
#thatstheproblem
@realz eh I guess. LegalEagle seems like the counter argument to me and that guy just makes up facts ๐
I recall his defense of Captain America. Hahaha thatโs actually where I began to question his motives
he hardly covers political issues except very recently
Legal Eagle on Rittenhouse plx
Legal Eagle is also one dimensional. Can't argue against himself. That's big for me.
I was like โnaw I think that is assault manโ
Alright well I could get behind a genuine legal liberal lawyer but maybe they are all busy with cases.
haha
useful lawyers lawyer, the rest get on youtube?
How could they be? I thought all the criminals were running amok.
I can't tell if you are being sarcastic, and either way it comes off kinda bad
Apologies. It's robotic for me.
I'm sure you sound much better over voice
(:
Lol I still think that the people I watch are useful. Tbh I think there has been a change in balance. It used to be the liberals were the underdogs and conservatives the establishment. I think those days are gone. So there is a higher demand for conservative thought because Americans like listening to underdogs.
yea I mean I watch the same people
its just boring without the other side
They have certainly rebranded themselves that way...but I think we are polluting the Rittenhouse chat. I take partial blame.
Fair. I donated $25 to Kyle so I guess I helped get that lawyer richer ๐
Bite your tongue. Lawyers don't care about the money.
If someone can hack in and change this channels name to โlawyers on social mediaโ we will be fine lol
Lmao
Go Fundme shutting down Rittenhouse red pilled to something
the entire bifurcation of that case in the media really changed something in me
You were fine until then? Thicker skin than me, for sure.
lol
I wasn't fine, but before I was mad at the media; after I accepted and wasn't mad anymore, but just shocked
My polarization meter broke long ago.
basically I consider FB, Twitter, and popnews media as simply a part of the DNC, and then write them off (now)
instead of ever expecting it to change, I now want and encourage bifurcation
this is one of the reasons I don't want "section 230 reform" or other such nonsense
I don't want to fix twitter or FB
I want them to die
and they are on the verge of being in danger of losing their natural monopoly
I've closed my FB and twitter accounts
Except they won't die. We'll just have parallel systems and people will continue to caricature their opposition.
over the last year, a dozen competitors to FB twitter and youtube have tried to compete with the big tech corps
that's fine with me
being unified just means you have the illusion of not being in a parallel system
basically it is parallel _already_ except one side has no infrastructure at all
(but I do think they will die eventually, because by having 2 systems, they no longer have a natural monopoly of social networks)
The caricatures aren't reality though. The echo chambers amplify themselves and we are seeing the front side of the consequences as we speak.
that's fine
