Let Tim rest
No tim cant rest hes nut allowed to
Have a CS degree or own an internet firm with revenue greater than X but smaller than Y? Here's your visa, and visas for Z of your employees.
in theory when Britain fucks off they're free from it
If I'm right
But as of now Brexit may not be that good
Yeah but Britain is oppressive in itself so
Eh
Britain is safe if and only if they go Hard Brexit.
it may not seperate them enough to free them from it
Dankula just responded to Tim
If they take the Chequers plan they're still tied to all EU regulations.
just from GDPR alone a lot of site are now blocked for me in the EU
for example... if I go to www.latimes.com I see https://i.imgur.com/JmnWDYm.png
same, and I'm *in* the EU
actually
hang on
yeah go to www.chicagotribune.com
LA Times not blocked for me
Holy shit
Not blocked
it's begun
We good
this site has been blocked for several months
they're blocked for me
since GDPR kicked in
I've got my stuff routed through NYC. Imma turn it off and check again, hang on
YEP
chicago tribune as seen by us EU peeps https://i.imgur.com/QMPxrVz.png
😛
Imagine if on top of all of this, Hillary had won.
VPN on
literally blocked news site... but almost like a reverse firewall... its the la times and chicago tribune blocking us
which is odd, considering they dont have to answer to EU courts
they do under GDPR
Well, they're trying not to get blocked because they're trying to find a compromise or workaround, or perhaps simply hoping the legislation gets amended or repealed. If they simply ignored GDPR then they could be blocked entirely and have no hope for future access. It's simply the Tribune trying to not burn bridges.
they technically don't, since EU has no jurisdiction on US property
unless the US government allows them to, but i doubt Trump would cuz it would cost the US money
