i dont blame america for that even a little

2018-09-14 18:32:09 UTC

Yeah man it's hard. My dad came to AZ from Brazil on student Visa to get a degree. He had to apply for scholarships, his parents could only afford helping him out with rent. Universities are tough on people immigrating here legally but they'll advocate hard for stuff like DACA.

2018-09-14 18:32:28 UTC

It's a real slap in the face.

2018-09-14 18:33:17 UTC

one of my current friends is from Brazil as well, i am often worried about his status because he hasnt really said if he is or isnt really legal. he doesnt like to talk about it too much

2018-09-14 18:33:27 UTC

but like i notice that he never bothers to go get a valid liicense

2018-09-14 18:33:40 UTC

just drives around with his passport like thats all he needs

2018-09-14 18:33:56 UTC

My father came to the US on a 747, he followed the law to become a US citizen. I had to get certified copies of his naturalization papers for the Army to inspect when I enlisted

2018-09-14 18:34:22 UTC

thats interesting Khan, i always wondered how that worked

2018-09-14 18:34:38 UTC

He gets pissed any time people talk about amenisty

2018-09-14 18:35:08 UTC

ya i notice that a LOT here from the groups of people that came here and did it right

2018-09-14 18:35:15 UTC

When I enlisted I was signed up to be a headquarters monkey so they had to do a background check for a clearance.

2018-09-14 18:35:18 UTC

they have little to 0 tollerance for skipping in line

2018-09-14 18:35:21 UTC

and i dont blame them

2018-09-14 18:35:32 UTC

And it's not easy to even get a green card.

2018-09-14 18:35:40 UTC

well, i think you for your service Khan

2018-09-14 18:35:49 UTC

thank you even

2018-09-14 18:35:54 UTC

2018-09-14 18:36:41 UTC

You are welcome Tyler

2018-09-14 18:37:07 UTC

without people like you willing to come here and put in the work, america would not be what it is today, and i will always believe that.

2018-09-14 18:37:23 UTC

even if they are trying to beat it out of me these days lol

2018-09-14 18:37:42 UTC

My father came here, my mother was born here as was I.

2018-09-14 18:38:00 UTC

I hate when people move to countries without wanting to contribute back. That's why I'm not moving to the US until I have my degree and I'm a qualified music teacher

2018-09-14 18:38:22 UTC

well, im totally ok with people moving here to learn to contribute as well

2018-09-14 18:38:27 UTC

I served pretty much my entire time under Obama's administration

2018-09-14 18:38:32 UTC

i would never discount students wanting to lean Cipher

2018-09-14 18:38:36 UTC

learn

2018-09-14 18:38:38 UTC

Oh yeah of course but sitting around enjoying benefits and giving nothing back is a bit lame

2018-09-14 18:39:14 UTC

Like I'd be educated in the US if it wasn't as expensive and I wasn't afraid to voice my political opinions

2018-09-14 18:39:20 UTC

I'd be doing an arts course, so... yeesh

2018-09-14 18:39:34 UTC

lol

2018-09-14 18:39:40 UTC

Eew 😛 arts

2018-09-14 18:39:43 UTC

2018-09-14 18:40:02 UTC

And I'm a right-leaning punk singer

2018-09-14 18:40:09 UTC

Sooooooo essentially I'd get hounded

2018-09-14 18:40:11 UTC

2018-09-14 18:40:27 UTC

Art schools were always kind of, iffy

Art requires passion, and guidance,

Not a classroom 😦

2018-09-14 18:40:30 UTC
