Can I REEEEEEEEEE at the plants? Those plants seem to be enabling everything here.
I think it's saying that multinationals are finding rare crops in developing nations and using them to makebetter products.
i mean, if theyre stealing them outright without consent of the land owner if it has one then yeah it's "unethical" but otherwise i'd say it's free shit not harming anyone
Technically, you wouldn't even have to do that.
Just put up a curtain near a farm and collect the pollen.
It's already caused a bunch of lawsuits. Monsanto thinks it's unfair that plants pollinate and so people get the genetic material from Monsanto's GMOs without paying.
And then the non-GMO guys are angry the GMO crops pollinate with the natural ones.
It's hard to say if any of this is "stealing" when it's literally plants doing plant things.
Or you can find these crops by the side of the road or something.
i guess it's hard to politicize nature, eh?
lol
It's hard to intellectually property nature.
well damn this came out a bit different than i expected
I don't really put much stock in these tests.
But that's a pretty normal result around here.
I think they act as push-polls telling people to align politically in favor of the people who make the test.
By giving unexpected results.
Most politics is really people picking 1-2 key issues and finding the "side" that fits best with those 1-2 issues.
Or a culture they identify with.
Or following their friends or idols.
Also, going to call it a night. Having trouble focusing.
understandable really, since there's so much to each issue and people have lives to live so focusing on 1-2 issues seems fair to me
Having lives isn't an excuse when the people you vote for determine how you can live that life.
Not good to be a 1-2 issue voter.
most hard working people don't have *time* to research all the info about all the issues.
Studying japanese then suddenly
You don't have to research everything but it can't be that difficult to hear about more than one or two issues.
Do people not read the paper in the morning anymore?
Yeah but I'm talking about doing actual research to form an educated position on a topic of debate
I don't think that's too difficult either. On some things sure but on others it's pretty simple.
I answered the exact same last time and got centre right so I think something might be up
Like one or two ticks changed by one degree of certainty, and I jumped about six squares
Which doesn't sound right
pretty much
These political compass tests are really overrated. Again. Push polls to tell people which way to lean and not really calibrated to anything sensible.
How come I can't embed
Are you level 10?
Probably not
