"SJW" entered common parlance during the election.
There are, however, lots of people in the general public who have been very mean to me because they have heard second hand that I have a political disagreement with them.
And thank god.
My parents are worried about Trump but to be fair he is basically ripping up our trade agreements
Heheh
It spent too long simmering under the surface, fucking everything up and ALWAYS getting away with it.
Gamergate was infuriating.
Feminism has been a joke to me since I was a kid an the Simpsons episode about sexual harassment aired way back in the 90s
I honestly have yet to have that happen to me but I employ a lot of tact in these discussions
The ep where Homer was accused of grabbing an SJW's ass
Like i said, the boy scouts become co-ed is because the girl scouts is so useless, and no one knows how to make an alternative to get the same renowned and recognition
Everyone was a mustache-twirling villain shitting on people from a great height. "FUCK YOU GAAAAAMERS."
Yeah, I decline to really talk about NAFTA (at least the part between U.S. and Canada) since I have dual citizenship, so I can just go wherever the new deal favours.
I have had people say "so and so told me I should ask you about X"
And then a debate ensues
Heheh
I had a friend of 10 years tell me to check my privilege and then block me for using the word 'faggot.'
The tone completely changed.
I guess I can't really understand how it feels not to be used to disagreeing with people close to you on politics.
I was also one of the only people in the office who called a Trump win
I've been a liberal/libertarian for most of my life now, and my mom has essentially become a communist.
SJWs can go hang for brainwashing my friends.
None of this forgive and forget stuff. They stood by and watched it happen.
A self-deluding communist who ignores the lessons life teaches her in relation to her political ideology, so that she does not have to change her mind.
I was moderate left before and then took a hard southeast journey in my teens and then climbed back up to minarchism
Most people I meet aren't terribly political. If you give them an issue they will usually take two stances, an ideological one and a practical one.
Apologies are reserved for those who understand the concept of forgiveness.
Re: relatives I tend to find common ground socially but not politically
Anyhow, if I don't make a big moral stink about people's opinions, I find that I can typically have productive and pleasant relationships with them, even if I disagree on a considerable proportion of major political matters.
Wherein I'm all for strong Canadian culture and promoting Western values, but they can't get on board with gutting our health care and starting from scratch
Especially if I ignore the abuse.
I can't forgive people who acted the worst when they had all the power. That's their TRUE character.
What depressed me most, is finding out just how many people were like that.
One of those online tests said I was a commie but really I don't identify with that tribe much at all
@Beemann which is silly of course, since 95% of healthcare in (anglo) Canada is private already
it's just a matter of who's paying.
I'd consider you more of a pasta
I like free stuff but I'm not gonna align with SJWs to get free stuff
TIM CUK'd BUNTY
Issue I have is that our hospitals are over cap now
They use the same billing and EMR systems that U.S. hospitals do
And we're getting stories, finally, from the people that fucks over
