They won't cancel Collins Murkoski or Flake.
The Dem Party would eviscerate their funding.
And that would only be the start.
Voting against Kavanaugh has to be worth at least 10% in the polls for these Dems up for re-election in red states.
The Dems have a great deal of control of their legislators due to the way the party is structured.
Yeah, but you lose the base *and* your money and you're in even more trouble.
The Dems might let it fly if they realize they've otherwise lost though.
So you're saying they'd basically have to switch parties if they vote for Kavanaugh.
Basically.
But it's far too late for that.
Manchin could've/should've switched a long time ago.
Bear in mind it's only another month or so before the election.
Yeah, most o WV lawmakers did a couple years ago.
Went from deep blue to deep red overnight.
Manchin seems to be the only WV politician who doesn't know that WV is redder than Utah.
Perhaps. But he is winning handidly.
Of course Manchin did just say he'd vote for Kavanaugh.
Who knows.
But if he breaks ranks and gets Kavanaugh confirmed, it would be huge.
It would've make any sense for WV to elect a Dem.
The Dems would bring **pain**
His party switch seems unavoidable.
I dunno. He's a labor type IIRC.
I think the unions would need to change sides about that time.
Which I think is actually possible.
That's why I ask why WV voters would want to share any of that pain inflicted on Manchin.
uh oh, Tims giving his opinion on his main channel
The bastard
He's been doing that more.
Union rank-and-file changed sides in 2016.
That son of a bitch!
It's kinda annoying, IMO.
Somebody stop him!!
He’s actually taking a side??!!!
OUTRAGEOUS.
hes the next Bernie Sanders, imo
"Gimme ya money"
"Gonna give it to the blacks"
Tim owes us half of his beanie
@devpav not really, it's much more narrow, but they didn't flip sides completely. Unions still voted primarily Democrat. And it's only a couple unions that would flip in the near future. AFT is solidly Blue now more than ever.
UAW leadership has been praising Trump however. There could be a shift in the making. Republicans might have actually shot themselves in the foot passing Right to Work if it happens.
