Usually, they were kept separately to begin with.
But, it has really taken on a new level recently.
It had always been kind of a running gag for us to say something kind of offensive and then snicker: "Good thing HR isn't here."
This is the first company/law firm ive ever worked at that had a (((diversity))) director shes black also

They'd be the joke around the office. But, at least they were not threatening, or used to be.
They always had the office across the street. You didn't usually have to worry about them, as long as you didn't actually do something illegal or harmful.
Now they are kind of in your face all the time.
You could also see other indicators rise, like the number of mandatory HR trainings.
There was maybe one per year, then we eventually had 4 or so, for each quarter I think.
I don't quite remember.
they had this up on November 2017
They would track the completion of every one, because you had to log onto a portal to view those trainings.
So they split the womens bathroom in half for that
Then a few weeks later they took it down lel
That's so idiotic. One of my co-workers was fired because he accidentally walked into the women's rest room once.
Nothing happened, he just walked right out after he realized his mistake.
Thats fucked up lmao
And, he even had a good reason for his mistake:
On all floors, the women's rest room was usually to the left. On the floor it was to the right.
As far as i know we dont have any trans people working in the nyc office we do have gay people working here
So, he was chatting with someone on the cell phone and was just on autopilot.
At least one gay guy lawyer works here and hes chill
He was an engineer, too, and we paid good money to hire him.

And now it's all bullshit apparently anyway, because everyone can just use whatever restroom they please!
YES, they fired him.
This one woman threw a fit and claimed some past trauma.
She was some fat retard who nobody would have touched anyway.
Damn thts fucked up
They don't get any attention naturally, so they try to make everything about them by constantly being offended.
She had been very unpopular among the engineers before already, but people were nice to her regardless.
After, nobody would talk to her anymore and she left by herself.
Its' a complete waste. Even if she had ever contributed anything, that way the company lost two people.

I don't understand how companies can afford to do shit like that.
We also had a super incompetent manager once and were so far over schedule that we canned the team's work of HALF A YEAR.
THere were ... 6? people working on the project, so that's 6 x 1/2 = 3 person years.
