Youth isn’t a good proxy for support of political correctness—and it turns out race isn’t, either.

Whites are ever so slightly less likely than average to believe that political correctness is a problem in the country: 79 percent of them share this sentiment. Instead, it is Asians (82 percent), Hispanics (87percent), and American Indians (88 percent) who are most likely to oppose political correctness. As one 40-year-old American Indian in Oklahoma said in his focus group, according to the report:

this is a good article

Remember, most people who have jobs and lives outside of social media, tend to engage less in social media.

2018-10-10 20:58:26 UTC

yes

2018-10-10 20:58:30 UTC

those that engage less appear to be the minority even though such is not the case.

2018-10-10 20:58:34 UTC

I like how they did their own research and looked beyond the surface rather than accepting the surface as fact

2018-10-10 20:58:49 UTC

Im not from the US, but i see this everyday because i visit people from all levels of society.

2018-10-10 20:58:56 UTC

Most importantly two thirds are moderates and exhausted of all the shit going on.

2018-10-10 20:59:01 UTC

holy shit

After the issue of poor leadership, Progressive Activists rank climate change
(47%) and economic inequality (42%) next, both issues that rank high on the
liberal agenda. These are both considerably higher than the average (18% and
12%, respectively).
– The Devoted Conservatives and Traditional Conservatives identify different
concerns: immigration, terrorism (approximately 60% in both cases) and jobs
(both around 55%).
– The Politically Disengaged group resemble the Conservatives in their focus on
jobs (56%), immigration (60%) and terrorism (59%).

2018-10-10 20:59:12 UTC

Conservatives and Disengaged share values

2018-10-10 20:59:32 UTC

yes

2018-10-10 20:59:35 UTC

wew

2018-10-10 20:59:38 UTC

Most people want stability.

2018-10-10 20:59:42 UTC

Goodbye blue wave

2018-10-10 20:59:45 UTC

Notice what those concerns would result in

2018-10-10 21:00:01 UTC

Immigration results in change. Terrorism is literally instability.

2018-10-10 21:00:19 UTC

People want to go to work, do their job, get paid, go home, have a beer with friends, and relax.

2018-10-10 21:00:21 UTC

the majority of people do not like chaos

2018-10-10 21:00:24 UTC

Maybe thats premature though

2018-10-10 21:00:30 UTC

what the progressives are doing, is nothing but creating chaos

2018-10-10 21:00:34 UTC

Immigration, terrorism, and jobs are all tangible. Climate change and inequality are less so.

2018-10-10 21:00:39 UTC

But i dont see what they would be voting for in the democratic party

2018-10-10 21:00:43 UTC

I'm guessing the 'disengaged' segment are non-voters.

2018-10-10 21:00:46 UTC

holy shit

2018-10-10 21:00:51 UTC

I know what they could be voting against, but not what they're voting in favor of

2018-10-10 21:00:52 UTC

progressives are hyper focused on shit no one cares about

2018-10-10 21:00:59 UTC

Imagine my shock.

2018-10-10 21:01:02 UTC

lol

2018-10-10 21:01:04 UTC

hahahaha

2018-10-10 21:01:16 UTC

stop making me laugh man im sick

For the millions upon millions of Americans of all ages and all races who do not follow politics with rapt attention, and who are much more worried about paying their rent than about debating the prom dress worn by a teenager in Utah, contemporary callout culture merely looks like an excuse to mock the values or ignorance of others. As one 57- year-old woman in Mississippi fretted:

The way you have to term everything just right. And if you don’t term it right you discriminate them. It’s like everybody is going to be in the know of what people call themselves now and some of us just don’t know. But if you don’t know then there is something seriously wrong with you.

2018-10-10 21:01:43 UTC

t 56 percent of Americans also believe that the Black Lives Matter
movement has made racial tensions worse

2018-10-10 21:01:45 UTC

kisdefoksdofjaesw

2018-10-10 21:01:46 UTC

2018-10-10 21:01:59 UTC

Yeah. that's...a thing.

2018-10-10 21:02:02 UTC

well, their PR isn't the best

2018-10-10 21:02:08 UTC

2018-10-10 21:02:23 UTC

```progressives are hyper focused on shit no one cares about```
Yeah and they are a minority, though very vocal and powerful...
2018-10-10 21:02:30 UTC
most people just do not really care about them...
2018-10-10 21:02:33 UTC
Very very powerful.
