When in reality I'm simply uncompromising to my values even if the political landscape changes around me, I would still say I'm a Centrist, even if at this point I'm like 80% Republican because of how much we have shifted to the left

2018-10-17 11:34:21 UTC

My biggest worry at this point is the left losing another 2 or 4 years in a row

2018-10-17 11:34:30 UTC

And then just radicalizing and trying to overthrow the government

2018-10-17 11:34:46 UTC

If there was an actual independent party I would understand if Tim didn't want to vote for the wings but there isn't.

2018-10-17 11:34:56 UTC

A second biggest fear is that by the time the next generation is a beige, the Red Wave will become so hyper dominant that the left won't even be competition anymore and it'll simply turn into who can be more right-wing

2018-10-17 11:35:34 UTC

*next generation is of age

2018-10-17 11:35:41 UTC

Now left/right is a vote of sanity vs insanity.

2018-10-17 11:35:53 UTC

Yeah, and that's a terrible thing LMAO

2018-10-17 11:36:12 UTC

The capitalist in me wants people to compete because we win

2018-10-17 11:36:40 UTC

At the moment it's not really direct competition it's more or less just hysteria on both ends of the spectrum with a large chunk of Common Sense siding with the right at this point

2018-10-17 11:36:49 UTC

~~ever since the 2016 election I’ve been more right-wing, so politically that just seems like something that’s fine with me, but the real reason for it being so bad for us is how much destruction Democrats and their voters will bring with them if they go down~~

2018-10-17 11:38:01 UTC

I think a lot of the issues dems run on aren't actually issues. It's just that they create problems.

2018-10-17 11:38:18 UTC

Well, the funny thing is, today I am practically considered conservative but in 2006 when I graduated high school and was able to vote I would very clearly be considered a liberal

2018-10-17 11:38:26 UTC

It's literally things that if you ignore them they go away.

2018-10-17 11:38:27 UTC

They like to create problems rather than solve them

2018-10-17 11:38:46 UTC

What part of me just thought about it in a more abstract archetypical sense

2018-10-17 11:39:01 UTC

If progress is against conservation

2018-10-17 11:39:11 UTC

Everyone but me is an NPC.

2018-10-17 11:39:20 UTC

Progress will eventually reach the point where it is no longer useful, and at that point conserving progress is more important

2018-10-17 11:39:30 UTC

I’ve always been a drone

2018-10-17 11:39:32 UTC

Also sir

2018-10-17 11:39:35 UTC

If the progressive representation is no longer useful, they might create their own problems just to remain relevant

2018-10-17 11:39:41 UTC

It’s drone, not NPC

2018-10-17 11:39:50 UTC

We've already long passed the point of where progress is regressive.

2018-10-17 11:39:51 UTC

I gtg

2018-10-17 11:39:52 UTC

Post scarcity is fantasy, not sci-fi

2018-10-17 11:39:52 UTC

Check your f****** pronouns

2018-10-17 11:40:08 UTC

I’d like the idea of post scarcity but eh

2018-10-17 11:40:10 UTC

Shit happens

2018-10-17 11:40:40 UTC

Well in my case I will always be pro-choice even if I can see valid arguments

2018-10-17 11:40:51 UTC

And that's mainly just because I think some people shouldn't breed LMAO

2018-10-17 11:41:03 UTC

There will always be scarcity. Everyone only has one body.

2018-10-17 11:41:40 UTC

"who can be more right-wing"

If the right becomes so dominant that the left is no longer a real party, then chances are the "right" will splinter into a new left and right. Example: the number of people who were liberal and are now considered conservative. That rift is still there.

2018-10-17 11:42:36 UTC

So in reality it would just be people fighting to be moderate

2018-10-17 11:42:40 UTC

That's the only thing I can hope for

2018-10-17 11:42:46 UTC

Obliterate the current left entirely.

2018-10-17 11:42:50 UTC

Adopting ideas the previous left had, in the aftermath of their own train wreck

2018-10-17 11:42:51 UTC

Faction the right.

2018-10-17 11:43:06 UTC

It just doesn't seem like a winning strategy

2018-10-17 11:43:08 UTC

Our current left is just plain unacceptable, holy shit.

2018-10-17 11:43:12 UTC

your idea of liberal-conservative axsis is flawed.
