Other than the huge jump when they changed how they report

2020-03-26 23:26:24 UTC

Iran though, Iran is just screwed.

2020-03-26 23:27:05 UTC

Not really, because the Chinese data rather reminds me of linear increase than exponential. How about you?

2020-03-26 23:27:43 UTC

Similar to Iran as well.

2020-03-26 23:29:02 UTC

@Sq crcl Tracking links? Err, inform me as that may be a form of malicious content.

2020-03-26 23:29:22 UTC

And free speech server doesn't care about what people say.

2020-03-26 23:29:58 UTC

I know the link wasn't intentional, people should just learn to recognize and clean that garbage so many websites and share buttons like to add to URLs.

2020-03-26 23:30:19 UTC

In my personal, not official opinion, my thoughts of vaccines and pandemic minimalization are in effect the same. If stupid people want to believe stupid things then they are free too. Maybe they'll turn out to be right.

2020-03-26 23:30:37 UTC

I see. Very bad.

2020-03-26 23:30:42 UTC

Shame on you.

2020-03-26 23:31:13 UTC

People's lungs are getting honey-combed burnt for life but it's ok to minimise it...uhum.

2020-03-26 23:32:00 UTC

It's not like a conspiracy theory without evidence. Quite the opposite unfortunately.

2020-03-26 23:32:43 UTC

At least give people a warning or something.

2020-03-26 23:33:43 UTC

(Thanks for getting back.)

2020-03-26 23:35:14 UTC

@Sq crcl All the charts except Iran look to me like they follow some kind of function on the order of f(n)=x^2-x^3

There will always be a part of those charts that looks linear if you cut off the beginning or end of it, and in China's case they didn't report the earliest numbers

2020-03-26 23:35:49 UTC

Looking for straight lines on log charts is often the better way to visualize this anyways.

2020-03-26 23:35:55 UTC

Not really because it's visibly different from a pattern.

2020-03-26 23:36:10 UTC
2020-03-26 23:36:16 UTC

But I guess like fractals if you zoom in and out you can play with it

2020-03-26 23:36:27 UTC

I just see it sticking out like a sore thumb

2020-03-26 23:37:01 UTC

@Sq crcl ```Athens strives to be a bastion of FREE SPEECH in an ever-shrinking world. however, as we are using DISCORD, we are subject to their COMMUNITY GUIDELINES and TERMS OF SERVICE. ```
*Literally... m8*

<:why:462286147473637407>

2020-03-26 23:37:22 UTC

OK

2020-03-26 23:38:10 UTC

But that also means I just need to get inventive more

2020-03-26 23:43:56 UTC

This is interesting because I thought free speech extremism was a good idea.

2020-03-26 23:44:37 UTC

But now I'm having doubts seeing how a section of the population trying to down-play it and just quote straight up lies about it.

2020-03-26 23:48:47 UTC

Censorship wont help though.

2020-03-26 23:50:55 UTC

Well its events like this, as to why we should and must keep standards of truth high in recognised institutions, so that when a crisis does occur there are organisations who's voice is more powerful and recognised than others. If both we and they fail to carry faith and weight in their standards of truth due to previous escapades, then as a society both we and them literally deserve what is coming to us.

2020-03-26 23:51:50 UTC

If there's no ethalon, there's nothing to measure to. So truth should be the measure.

2020-03-26 23:52:29 UTC

That's the whole problem with relativism.

2020-03-26 23:52:40 UTC

That's why things are slipping away.

2020-03-26 23:54:45 UTC

In this scenario it's demonstrable falsehood. But I guess I wouldn't censor. Let people group ostracize the unwanted even if that's good.

2020-03-26 23:54:55 UTC

My opinion on a lot of the vaccine stuff is Tabeb. People are going to die. Therefore if they choose to do something that will kill them, fine. In the event we're wrong, they live. Their paranoia adds Antifragility to humanity. Purposefully creating and binding ourselves to a system where we must obey no matter what everything everywhere strip's humanity of our ability to bounce back from a crisis and may doom everyone to the same fate.

2020-03-26 23:56:06 UTC

Look at it this way, I'm perfectly fine with anyone going about in public places, and not following Quarantine standards being beaten within an inch of their lives with sticks. However, no need to force them to not lick toilet seats.

2020-03-26 23:56:30 UTC

Sure, negatives work better.

2020-03-26 23:56:55 UTC

I think I got also a bit emotional, after having seen what this monster does to ppl.

2020-03-26 23:58:06 UTC

Fun fact. Decreased health standards increases the want for authoritarian measures to be conducted.

2020-03-26 23:58:27 UTC

Yeah, suffering is good.

2020-03-26 23:58:34 UTC

SOmE suffering

2020-03-26 23:58:44 UTC

Bad heath literally makes you more inclined to be right wing 😂
