lol
Who let the liberal in here
There's fiscally conservative vs liberal
Morally conservative vs liberal
And Government intervention/spending
I thought they were naturally repelled by Sargon's discord smh
I think this debate has finally made me figure out what's actually going on in the political landscape.
@Monstrous Moonshine @snake This stuff that was talked about above should interest you.
There are different ideological branches that are inherently separate which can fall under conservative or liberal
Most people aren't completely on one side or another
I'm pretty sure you can be conservative and be in favor of dah gays, I think conservatives are more likely to be against degerancy, but it's not a required feature as a conservative is just mostly conservative and gay rights are not the defining factor of what being a conservative is
There's a body of things that makes one conservative, and having a few deviations from the norm would make you still in general a conservative even if a few ideas were different, of which I don't think the concept of acceptance of LGBT stuff is inherently mixed with political ideology
Most of the time conservatives aren't in favor of homosexuality, however you can view a few things differently and still be mostly conservative
The same is really true with any ideology, you are generally that thing if you are mostly that thing, or that's how words are intended to be used. Another leftists paradigm is the constant creation of new words and even worse redefining existing one's so as to label others
So [insert x here must be conservatism] is a lot like [insert x here is now socialism] or racism or whatever, as the reduction to simple semantics argument where you define yourself as correct even though it's made up on the spot and not in the dictionary definition is pretty much, defines the whole argument
this isnt very relevant to the topic of why I should be embracing open sexuality
And thus, be totally conserving something. I mean, not conserving it. But totally be conservative. Without conserving anything. It works, trust me.
until its being forced on my grandchildren
*Conservatives conserve nothing anymore these days*
you opened the door for it to be acceptable
I'm dead center between progressivism and conservatism, and I'm more conservative than many self-proclaimed conservatives these days.
dragqueen story hour isnt a thing
thats the logical path of you embracement of no sexual judgments
*Trust me I'm totally conservative, I resist change. But I know it happens eventually, so I stop resisting. And then I do it all over again with the next change. And so forth. See? I'm conserving. I'm a conservative.*
well I have 4 children, no harem required
He doesn't mean it. He's jealous of you being able to be happy living a normal life.
Mainstream promiscuity is one of the many factors that have ruined relationships between men and women.
People are broken beyond repair, wondering what the hell they did wrong in their youth.
Good for you, I don't care about the lies you tell yourself.
How am I salty, about what?

@Thundermark Kill your self faggot.
LMFAO
Once again, Dabney was right
> This [Northern conservatism] is a party which never conserves anything. Its history has been that it demurs to each aggression of the progressive party, and aims to save its credit by a respectable amount of growling, but always acquiesces at last in the innovation. What was the resisted novelty of yesterday is today one of the accepted principles of conservatism; it is now conservative only in affecting to resist the next innovation, which will tomorrow be forced upon its timidity and will be succeeded by some third revolution; to be denounced and then adopted in its turn. American conservatism is merely the shadow that follows Radicalism as it moves forward towards perdition.
- Robert Lewis Dabney Chaplain, Confederate Army; Chief of Staff, Stonewall Jackson

And so was Mencius Moldbug
> Cthulhu may swim slowly. But he only swims left. Isn’t that interesting?

> In the history of American democracy, if you take the mainstream political position (the Overton Window) at time T₁, and place it on the map at a later time T₂, T₁ is always way to the right, near the fringe or outside it. So, for instance, if you take the average segregationist voter of 1963 and let him vote in the 2008 election, he will be way out on the wacky right wing. Cthulhu has passed him by.

> Where is the John Birch Society, now? What about the NAACP? Cthulhu swims left, and left, and left. There are a few brief periods of true reaction in American history—the post-Reconstruction era or Redemption, the Return to Normalcy of Harding, and a couple of others. But they are unusual and feeble compared to the great leftward shift. Nor, most important for our hypothesis, did they come from the universities; in the 20th century, periods of reaction are always periods of anti-university activity. (McCarthyism is especially noticeable as such. And you’ll note that McCarthy didn’t exactly win.)
