Abolish the UN is serves no purpose other than fucking with sovereign nations
The UN was created to provide a place for nations to talk things out and solve problems before they get out of hand. An examination of the causes of WWII explains why the UN is important.
Now whether all the various agencies of the UN are necessary or could be adjusted is a different debate
As an Oregonian I can share that all-gender bathrooms don't have urinals. Or at least I haven't found one that does and there are a few of them.
Tell me, what problems have they solved
They provided warm seats and coffee to people to sit around and talk, who would have otherwise had no idea what to do with their life.
The Korean War for one, although that was actually a funny story about screwing Russia. The UN provided the venue for the US to make the case against the Cuban missiles in 1962. In 2003 the UN provided legal cover for our misadventure in Iraq, but we did ask for that.

Anyway, re: the UN, I think the original bodies formed in 1944-45 are core to world stability. The GA and SC, namely. Everything added since is up for debate on their individual merits or lack thereof.
The UN SC especially has been critical for US interests since it was born
I think the UN was taken over by nations hostile to United States interests and Israel interests.
The UN GA allows for steam to get blown off before blood spatters around
They are using the powers of UN to attack both nations or make it hard on both nations now.
Why can't people start private non profit organizations to help people, why are they trying to force the whole country to pay for another country's problems. Our government represents us not a foreign nation.
