developing countries usually get better stuff

2018-10-31 03:56:35 UTC

when they actually develop it ;^)

2018-10-31 03:56:37 UTC

lol

2018-10-31 03:56:47 UTC

Appairently my personality type is ENTJ

2018-10-31 03:56:49 UTC

yeah, it's cheaper to start over than to redo

2018-10-31 03:56:56 UTC

whcih is extremely rae among my age group

2018-10-31 03:57:07 UTC

It's a bit like the effect of being second adopter. You get to skip the early hurdles.

2018-10-31 03:58:00 UTC

I remember SerpentZA having made a very good video about this. For those who don't know him, he is one of the first and longest standing English speaking YouTubers in China, originally from South Africa, a bit of a refugee.

2018-10-31 03:58:27 UTC

I'll look him up. Thanks 😃

2018-10-31 03:58:43 UTC

Okay.

Stay awesome.

2018-10-31 04:01:33 UTC

I think most of the people who watch tim are people who used to be leftists

2018-10-31 04:01:44 UTC

and have been kicked out when the left turned super cult mode

2018-10-31 04:02:11 UTC

so we like hearing the perspective of someone who's gone through the same

2018-10-31 04:02:29 UTC

Tim claims to still be on the left.

2018-10-31 04:02:47 UTC

tim is losing faith :v

2018-10-31 04:02:51 UTC

By sane standards, he still is, and so are most of us.

2018-10-31 04:03:02 UTC

I don't believe Tim is on the left

2018-10-31 04:03:05 UTC

in every video i feed on his suffering

2018-10-31 04:03:27 UTC

His videos are constantly "The left is losing", "Why the right is winning" etc

2018-10-31 04:03:32 UTC

Constantly

2018-10-31 04:03:33 UTC

But, I don't like the left/right dichotomy very much anyway. I think most people would be hard pressed to define who would be center and what is left or right.

2018-10-31 04:03:58 UTC

he just want sane left that cares about the poor

2018-10-31 04:04:02 UTC

not 1/1024 indians :3

2018-10-31 04:04:06 UTC

he's losing faith as am I

2018-10-31 04:04:06 UTC

In particular, considering the origin of those terms, it referred to the general alignment during the French Revolution, in terms of who was on the side of monarchy and who was not.

2018-10-31 04:04:35 UTC

the labels are useless

2018-10-31 04:04:56 UTC

atheists conservatives 👌🏿

2018-10-31 04:05:15 UTC

I think a better distinction nowadays is a dichotomy between moralizing busy body and libertarian.

2018-10-31 04:05:27 UTC

Or even libertarian and authoritarian.

2018-10-31 04:06:06 UTC

I was wondering if conservatives are just liberals from past generations

2018-10-31 04:06:26 UTC

holding onto whatever ideals were liberal at the time

2018-10-31 04:06:38 UTC

Strictly speaking, it would make more sense to place the authoritarians on the right wing (with the monarchs of olden days and centralization of power) and us on the left, which would also align the term with liberal, in the way it was used in Britain and in its original meaning.

2018-10-31 04:06:39 UTC

they didn't get on the 72 genders hype train and got ditched ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

2018-10-31 04:06:52 UTC

banding together with other people trying to conserve some sense of sanity

2018-10-31 04:07:06 UTC

Strictly speaking, we are the liberals, we are on the left - as are libertarians - and Antifa are on the right.

2018-10-31 04:07:13 UTC

the 72 genders hype train was where I jumped ship

2018-10-31 04:07:40 UTC

antifa more like fa

2018-10-31 04:07:45 UTC

I think, one of the first steps of bringing sanity back to politics would be to stop misusing these terms, because they let people claim ownership of bodies of thought that they have no claim to.

2018-10-31 04:08:02 UTC

there's no talking to these people

2018-10-31 04:08:10 UTC

labels are counterproductive as fuck

2018-10-31 04:08:18 UTC

No, they are not.
