Which is also similar to my conclusion

2018-10-31 06:06:36 UTC

They have indeed gone on record as saying they've completely missed the mark and are trying to rebuild the game for more historical accuracy.

2018-10-31 06:06:51 UTC

note: the audience they went for isnt actually an audience in the first place.
They are there to fight a war not to buy and play a game.

2018-10-31 06:07:13 UTC

as long as the balls shrink in cold weather, i know its a game worth playing

2018-10-31 06:07:20 UTC

that's what I don't get about marketing to or appeasing ultra leftists

2018-10-31 06:07:23 UTC

I'm not saying it was a good idea. You just asked why they did it.

2018-10-31 06:07:26 UTC

they probably never bought your product in the first place

2018-10-31 06:07:27 UTC

Honestly I can do without everyone looking like afortnite char

2018-10-31 06:07:31 UTC

Yeah i know

2018-10-31 06:07:37 UTC

It wasn't to pander, it was to get sales

2018-10-31 06:07:38 UTC

what makes you think it's worth burning half your current audience for people who are so fickle

2018-10-31 06:07:41 UTC

Steampunk arm girl feels really out of place

2018-10-31 06:07:46 UTC

Just a bad marketing strategy

2018-10-31 06:07:58 UTC

Well pandering to said group to get sales is still pandering

2018-10-31 06:08:07 UTC

And historically there was only one case of a soldier with prosthetics fighting in a war. And he was a pilot.

2018-10-31 06:08:09 UTC

youre just doing it for the money rather then political points

2018-10-31 06:08:28 UTC

Thats why get woke go broke is a thing

2018-10-31 06:08:34 UTC

theyre not your paying customers

2018-10-31 06:08:38 UTC

I'm imaging a gilda rander skit on pandering and pandas

2018-10-31 06:08:41 UTC

Well, I like this description, if you try to pander to two demographics, you onle end up with the people in the middle of the venn diagrame

2018-10-31 06:09:27 UTC

But to say pandering makes it feel different from what they were actually trying to do.

2018-10-31 06:09:40 UTC

Well what u said is actually the way i meant it

2018-10-31 06:09:53 UTC

Also dont forget

2018-10-31 06:09:55 UTC

It's like when people say a cop murdered an armed guy.

2018-10-31 06:10:02 UTC

It's a misdirect

2018-10-31 06:10:02 UTC

Black germans in WW2 and BF1

2018-10-31 06:10:11 UTC

I didnt mind the indians in the british army

2018-10-31 06:10:21 UTC

If you're a game franchise that's built on being historically accurate, and you screw that over in favor of lefties, that's pandering to lefties.

If you realize you fucked up and go back to your roots to try to recapture your original audience, that's not pandering to your audience, that's just going back to what you were doing before you were pandering. You might call it catering to your audience.

Pandering typically is going out of your way and changing something that you'd normally do, in order to try to draw in a certain type.

2018-10-31 06:10:23 UTC

But blacks fighting for the Germans?

2018-10-31 06:10:55 UTC

I mean, i have you seen antifa?

2018-10-31 06:11:19 UTC

they could be in the german army if anything, theyre the most white group there is

2018-10-31 06:11:24 UTC

Exactly, modern ~~nazis~~ antifa have almost no blacks in them.

2018-10-31 06:11:28 UTC

Trying to get a new audience interested in a product is not pandering

2018-10-31 06:11:42 UTC

No matter how you do it

2018-10-31 06:11:48 UTC

Its capitalism

2018-10-31 06:11:50 UTC

I mean.. I guess its fair since everyone of the same class has the same model

2018-10-31 06:12:03 UTC

And for bfV the free market spoke

2018-10-31 06:12:04 UTC

Completely changing the style you have been developing your past 4+ games to draw in a specific audience is indeed pandering

2018-10-31 06:12:17 UTC

Well i dont disagree codes

2018-10-31 06:12:25 UTC

Im just looking at this from a broader perspective

2018-10-31 06:12:30 UTC

See what Tykiller said there Codes ^
