Which is also similar to my conclusion
They have indeed gone on record as saying they've completely missed the mark and are trying to rebuild the game for more historical accuracy.
note: the audience they went for isnt actually an audience in the first place.
They are there to fight a war not to buy and play a game.
as long as the balls shrink in cold weather, i know its a game worth playing
that's what I don't get about marketing to or appeasing ultra leftists
I'm not saying it was a good idea. You just asked why they did it.
they probably never bought your product in the first place
Honestly I can do without everyone looking like afortnite char
Yeah i know
It wasn't to pander, it was to get sales
what makes you think it's worth burning half your current audience for people who are so fickle
Steampunk arm girl feels really out of place
Just a bad marketing strategy
Well pandering to said group to get sales is still pandering
And historically there was only one case of a soldier with prosthetics fighting in a war. And he was a pilot.
youre just doing it for the money rather then political points
Thats why get woke go broke is a thing
theyre not your paying customers
I'm imaging a gilda rander skit on pandering and pandas
Well, I like this description, if you try to pander to two demographics, you onle end up with the people in the middle of the venn diagrame
Well what u said is actually the way i meant it
Also dont forget
It's like when people say a cop murdered an armed guy.
It's a misdirect
Black germans in WW2 and BF1
I didnt mind the indians in the british army
If you're a game franchise that's built on being historically accurate, and you screw that over in favor of lefties, that's pandering to lefties.
If you realize you fucked up and go back to your roots to try to recapture your original audience, that's not pandering to your audience, that's just going back to what you were doing before you were pandering. You might call it catering to your audience.
Pandering typically is going out of your way and changing something that you'd normally do, in order to try to draw in a certain type.
But blacks fighting for the Germans?
I mean, i have you seen antifa?
they could be in the german army if anything, theyre the most white group there is
Exactly, modern ~~nazis~~ antifa have almost no blacks in them.
Trying to get a new audience interested in a product is not pandering
No matter how you do it
Its capitalism
I mean.. I guess its fair since everyone of the same class has the same model
And for bfV the free market spoke
Completely changing the style you have been developing your past 4+ games to draw in a specific audience is indeed pandering
Well i dont disagree codes
Im just looking at this from a broader perspective
See what Tykiller said there Codes ^
