Single payer is fine. Just not in the USA
Korean master race technology
@Eccles explain
I mean i agree with you but i want insight
Single payer heathcare delivers healthcare across much of the western world at a significantly lower price than America, Cryrosphere
But USA has a unique healthcare sector that you can't just dismantle like that
Trying is likely to cause massive economic damage
So I think it likely in the short and medium term, your debating opponent is wrong
But it's not because single payer is inferior or more expensive in general, just that the USA's system is set up in a way that makes it almost uniquely difficult to replace
it could be done in a purely additive way
^
just begin offering single payer subsidies
A mixed system is what i want like Germany’s
The only way I can see USA going single payer is if they did it on a state by state basis
and open up hospitals that run only via the single payer system
hence are free
Yeah, has bernie ever said what he’s basing his system off?
(to citizens)
Cause if it’s based off the NHS that’s gonna be a dusy
yeah you could do that too, setting a price ceiling
australia has a pretty good system tbh
@Knight Ani Cringewalker KANKOKU-JIN WILL BOW TO THE JAPANESE MASTER RACE
He probably hasn't got a clue, Cryo, lefists never think things through
The NHS is centralized bullshit
we have single payer for each type of service. they pay 5k for your surgery say, in a public hospital it will be free but there'll be a long wait list. you can get it done privately for an additional fee, or have private insurance. they pay the fee no matter who provides the service
The NHS suffers all the normal problems that affect very large organisations
it's slightly rortabe but in a way you kind of want doctors eager to rort by providing healthcare

Get you a man who looks at you like this
That's what they were heading towards in the UK in the early 1990s, Vindi, but then Labour got whiff of power and knocked it on the head
how does the nhs differ
isn't the nhs purely just free stuff
free hospital, free GPs, free everything. and a very anemic private sector
How does the modern american system work? I don’t really understand it
so if you want choice or faster care you just can't?
Silly nippon. The k pop w memetic warfare
That's one of the issues with single payer in the US as well... however going state-based is the best compromise point. That in mind, the push is fullsized centralization.
NHS isn't free
