engrish stopped working

2018-11-05 02:01:29 UTC

bleh

2018-11-05 02:01:35 UTC

I'm talking about the old reactors we already have in service

2018-11-05 02:01:40 UTC

Hmmm

2018-11-05 02:01:41 UTC

at some point those will have to get cleaned up

2018-11-05 02:01:45 UTC

its not the new tech

2018-11-05 02:01:55 UTC

its outdated compared to what china designed now

2018-11-05 02:02:09 UTC

we already know what to do with nuclear waste.
most of it can be recylced.
and deblited uranium have many uses already.

2018-11-05 02:02:18 UTC

Yeah

2018-11-05 02:02:25 UTC

warheads lol

2018-11-05 02:02:26 UTC

do you have a source on that

2018-11-05 02:02:36 UTC

let me find it for you

2018-11-05 02:02:40 UTC

I don't think stockpiling warheads is smart either

2018-11-05 02:03:35 UTC

depleted uranuim is so heavy.
thats why it has many uses. but mainly in military as armor and APFSDS "arrows" are made out of depleted uranium

2018-11-05 02:03:43 UTC

It is in chinese so turn on the subs

2018-11-05 02:03:55 UTC

I was looking for a source on recycling waste

2018-11-05 02:04:00 UTC

Oh

2018-11-05 02:04:02 UTC

my bad

2018-11-05 02:04:02 UTC

I had already heard of fast breeder reactors

2018-11-05 02:04:07 UTC

okay

2018-11-05 02:04:09 UTC

nah it's cool, I didn't specify

2018-11-05 02:04:58 UTC

Im typing so much the guys in my discord are asking can the Novel im writing be gluten Free. . "mr Smiley " Lazy general : mr smiley i cant see you reading a book i can see you eating the book

2018-11-05 02:05:05 UTC

recycling works same way as making "new" uranium.
its only those heviest uranium particles that are most dangerous and that are used in nuclear reactors.

2018-11-05 02:05:48 UTC

so from my understanding, the fuel rods go bad because there's not enough uranium left to sustain the reaction, but they're still radioactive

2018-11-05 02:06:03 UTC

yes.

2018-11-05 02:06:20 UTC

Thats basically it

2018-11-05 02:06:44 UTC

seems to me like a shitty design if they only last a few years but I'm not an expert. Probably not too smart to put too much in or it will go critical

2018-11-05 02:06:51 UTC

and they can be "recycled"
take those still actice and usable heavy uranium to new rods. and debleted uranium have other uses.

2018-11-05 02:07:21 UTC

I'd rather invest more money into fusion tbh

2018-11-05 02:07:46 UTC

I think I saw something recently about the first sucessful cold fusion, let me see if I can find it

2018-11-05 02:08:09 UTC

WE need to go to mars find the Mass effect Relay . . And jump start our tech . . . . Lol ELON !!!

2018-11-05 02:09:10 UTC

Today's video. The silent trump supporter still can't be counted.

2018-11-05 02:09:38 UTC

it might have been a minute physics video or something

2018-11-05 02:09:39 UTC

Correctly

2018-11-05 02:09:43 UTC

but we already have perfectly safe nuclear reactors.
and i dont see any problems building more nuclear plants.

but of course if we get fusion working in some day its better idea.
but until that nuclear is best form of producing energy

2018-11-05 02:09:44 UTC

The problem is that things are not as centralized as that.

2018-11-05 02:09:58 UTC

Things matter on the state level now

2018-11-05 02:10:37 UTC

So the silent Trump trap card won't be nearly as significant as in the presidential election.

2018-11-05 02:10:40 UTC

why don't we take more advantage of geothermal energy?

2018-11-05 02:11:00 UTC

like I'm sure people have tried to go down this path, we're not the scientists
