2018-11-05 13:44:39 UTC

says hillary was the gatekeeper of the elite political class that corrupted everything

2018-11-05 13:44:42 UTC

people voted against that

2018-11-05 13:44:50 UTC

2018-11-05 13:44:52 UTC

2018-11-05 13:44:53 UTC

2018-11-05 13:44:58 UTC

i just posted it

2018-11-05 13:45:08 UTC

cheeras

2018-11-05 13:45:16 UTC

now i got something to kill 1.5 hours with so i'll be closer to Tim Pool uploading his videos

2018-11-05 13:45:35 UTC

Tim, do you agree with this perspective?

2018-11-05 13:45:37 UTC

i mean no offense Timcast, but this Tim Pool guy knows whats up

2018-11-05 13:45:39 UTC

"It seems like the American Right is actively trying to welcome more people into their circles, while the American Left is actively trying to drive people away"

2018-11-05 13:46:15 UTC

I agree a lot with what bannon was saying because he was talking about populism not conservatism for the most part

2018-11-05 13:46:30 UTC

He said the real debate is Left wing populism vs conservative populism

2018-11-05 13:46:44 UTC

the people calling bannon a nazi are remnants of the elite class trying to stop the debate

2018-11-05 13:46:48 UTC

the same people who oppoosed bernie

2018-11-05 13:47:16 UTC

yeah, "Don't listen to anyone but us, Its illegal after all, but for us its okay" kinda people

2018-11-05 13:48:53 UTC

and i don't think its as much "actively" Swedish,

I think that the Left is pushing everyone away cuz "You're not pure enough, REEEE"

And the Right is more like "Lets have a beer and talk about our differences"
And people will be more inclined to think "This right guy is alright, and this left guy is nuts"

2018-11-05 13:54:27 UTC

I've heard the word Populism in a negative light my entire life, and I never really understood why. It seems logical to do things that most people (the populous) want to see happen.

2018-11-05 13:54:37 UTC

It doesn't help the left when they're proposing that civility and debate are tools of the privileged

2018-11-05 13:55:04 UTC

And actively discouraging people from engaging with discourse with conservatives, males, whites, heterosexuals, yet acting like they can read those demographics' minds

2018-11-05 13:55:43 UTC

the term populism, is just a buzzword

Populism means you are for the plight of the people

Any political party that wants to win votes is a populist party

The democratic party is populist for wamen and minorities

2018-11-05 13:56:11 UTC

basicalyy every party is populist

2018-11-05 13:56:11 UTC

Ideologs that demand group think, assume they can know your ideas based on your assumed group.

2018-11-05 13:56:43 UTC

well, there are some legit concerns about populism. like hugo chavez was a populist.

2018-11-05 13:56:57 UTC

every big party is

2018-11-05 13:57:31 UTC

I don't know if that's true @Dr.Wol They are populist in the rhetoric but I think they're both elitist in their policies.

2018-11-05 13:57:43 UTC

pop·u·lism
/ˈpäpyəˌlizəm/
noun
support for the concerns of ordinary people.
"it is clear that your populism identifies with the folks on the bottom of the ladder"
the quality of appealing to or being aimed at ordinary people.
"art museums did not gain bigger audiences through a new populism"

2018-11-05 13:57:51 UTC

trump really isn't pursuing policies that are particularly populist though. he isn't pursuing tariffs for the sake of tariffs, but as negotiating tactics.

2018-11-05 13:58:03 UTC

Theres not a single party out there that says "Fuck your problems, lets help the elite"

2018-11-05 13:58:35 UTC

That's kind of what intersectionality says.

2018-11-05 13:58:53 UTC

Except it's not elites it's "the powerless"

2018-11-05 13:59:39 UTC

yes, but intersectionality isn't a party,

The democrats however use intersectionality to appeal to these "ordinary people" who care about those things though

2018-11-05 13:59:56 UTC

a party that wants votes from a group, will pander to them

2018-11-05 14:00:04 UTC

that pandering qualifies them as populists

2018-11-05 14:00:05 UTC

@Timcast I really don't know Bannon or Frum...

2018-11-05 14:00:24 UTC

The munk debate was amazing

2018-11-05 14:00:24 UTC

Other than Bannon worked for Trump once.

2018-11-05 14:00:24 UTC

Bannon and GonaldFrump

2018-11-05 14:00:30 UTC

And has a vendita against him.
