His parents transitioned him as a kid so now he must support the ideology to justify it to himself

2020-03-21 09:43:21 UTC

who the fuck are you talking about, sam

2020-03-21 09:43:21 UTC

@Win Roe The art direction and gameplay style disagrees with me.

I prefer Doom art when the demons actually look satanic instead of looking like something ripped from Gears of War, and when the gameplay is more inspired by Aliens than trying to turn the Doomguy into Kratos.

2020-03-21 09:43:34 UTC

@Eccles some fag troll inchat earlier

2020-03-21 09:43:42 UTC

ahh

2020-03-21 09:43:47 UTC

so it wasn't FaultFiction

2020-03-21 09:43:54 UTC

We where bullying a communist

2020-03-21 09:44:21 UTC

the virgin doom eternal, and the Stacy Gzdoom with La Tailor Girl + Stylish Hell

2020-03-21 09:44:35 UTC

@Seven Proxies Well I guess you're just a boomer, honestly I don't like the more synthy style music but the change in art direction is honestly refreshing considering how red and demonic 2016 was

2020-03-21 09:45:14 UTC

i played the 2016 demo

2020-03-21 09:45:25 UTC

wasn't really long enough to form a strong opinion

2020-03-21 09:45:48 UTC

It does feel alot more Quake like tho, which makes me feel like they could've and probs should have gone for a quake remake rather than a DOOM sequel but what evs, the game is good

2020-03-21 09:46:16 UTC

Also the art directions doesn't matter too much considering the gameplay is fucking fantastic

2020-03-21 09:46:32 UTC

i did wonder if ID software confused the plot of Quake and Doom at some point

2020-03-21 09:46:39 UTC

"plot" ha

2020-03-21 09:47:04 UTC

yeah, Quake 2 wasn't that good but the original still holds up

2020-03-21 09:47:20 UTC

Quake was all about demons, and Quake 2 was some bullshit alien invasion

2020-03-21 09:47:23 UTC

Didn't make a lot of sense

2020-03-21 09:47:29 UTC

But i supposed they already had Doom

2020-03-21 09:47:30 UTC

@Win Roe I can't really distinguish between 2016 and Doom Eternal in terms of artstyle tbh.

They both look identical to me

2020-03-21 09:47:46 UTC

Dude do you even have eyes bro

2020-03-21 09:48:12 UTC

@Win Roe Please don't say that. You might give them ideas about ruining quake the same way they ruined doom

2020-03-21 09:48:16 UTC

Like they are very similar since they're sequels but there's more than enough to distinguish them

2020-03-21 09:48:26 UTC

Are you OK?

2020-03-21 09:48:29 UTC

ok, boomer

2020-03-21 09:48:34 UTC

I recently replayed Quake

2020-03-21 09:48:36 UTC

You know DOOM 3 is actually bad right?

2020-03-21 09:48:46 UTC

it's more that its

2020-03-21 09:48:47 UTC

fine

2020-03-21 09:48:48 UTC

I was abolutely made that I got it to run, with only minor modification, from my original install CD

2020-03-21 09:48:48 UTC

@Win Roe Can't say I see any real difference.

Gameplay is fast paced so you gloss over all the details anyway

2020-03-21 09:48:59 UTC

Doom 3 was awesome, milky

2020-03-21 09:49:00 UTC

doom 3 is perfectly fine

2020-03-21 09:49:16 UTC

At the time, it was groundbreaking

2020-03-21 09:49:19 UTC

it's nothing amazing, and the pc port kinda boned the balance

2020-03-21 09:49:24 UTC

@Win Roe Nah, Doom 3 was a step in the right direction actually.

Just not a complete and polished step, but it was very refreshing and a natural evolution from Doom and Doom 2.

2020-03-21 09:49:25 UTC

drowns you in ammo

2020-03-21 09:49:49 UTC

There was a massive time gap, and therefore tech gap between Doom 2 and DOom 3

2020-03-21 09:49:52 UTC

Hell was the only level I unironically enjoyed as a DOOM game, but after that it was such a flatline that I quit, the start was interesting but it doesn't go anywhere worth while

2020-03-21 09:50:06 UTC

Doom 3 was a very successful horror game. And making atmospheric and suspenseful horror games is actually pretty hard.
