Those are the micro USB dongles that fit into USB slots and are small enough to hide in the slot. They act like preprogrammed mice and keyboards and enable remote access to networked PCs. Since us slots have zero protection there is no way to properly detect such a device

They still need a small microcontroller so it should be the size of a usb stick

They cant do much

They require a full fledge arduino of you want reactive attacks

They can make them small enough to hide in a slot now, or hook to the motherboard via pin headers

But for most of them they are specialized for specific attack
