Speaking of healthcare, what was wrong with Obamacare that made people so mad? And what happened to the plan to kill and replace it?

2018-11-06 22:53:45 UTC

@Bookworm That was Manchin in WV and I thought I saw the GOP candidate was drawing closer in the polls

2018-11-06 22:53:47 UTC

@MacAndSwiss "if you want your doctor, you can keep your doctor" -obama

2018-11-06 22:53:54 UTC

clearly that never happened

2018-11-06 22:53:55 UTC

Oh, you've lost the right to vote? I'm sorry.

2018-11-06 22:54:02 UTC

Obamacare forced people to pay if you didn't want insurance. It forced you to buy a policy from an insurance company or be fined.

2018-11-06 22:54:06 UTC

No no, my vote doesn't matter

2018-11-06 22:54:12 UTC

It increased healthcare costs.

2018-11-06 22:54:13 UTC

I know several people who have tho

2018-11-06 22:54:17 UTC

That's why people were pissed off

2018-11-06 22:54:30 UTC

I'm sorry there's 350 million odd people in this country. My vote matters just like yours.

2018-11-06 22:54:36 UTC

My state has been a democrat hellhole since regan

2018-11-06 22:54:39 UTC

@MacAndSwiss it taxed people for being alive, and in the end was like pouring water into a sieve. The entire system is broken and pouring more money into it is useless

2018-11-06 22:54:41 UTC

Same tetra

2018-11-06 22:54:53 UTC

If you are in San Francisco, maybe your vote doesnt matter.

2018-11-06 22:54:55 UTC

healthcare needs to be completely revamped but both parties are in their donors pockets so bills that are good for citizens will never be pushed by either party

2018-11-06 22:54:58 UTC

I felt useless voting red but it's w.e

2018-11-06 22:55:04 UTC

still got it done

2018-11-06 22:55:04 UTC

But most of these races are tight.

2018-11-06 22:55:21 UTC

I don't vote because my vote is some huge swing, I vote because I am an American and it's my job.

2018-11-06 22:55:34 UTC

It's also our jobs to stay informed

2018-11-06 22:55:36 UTC

in most areas the races are much tighter than the polls are going to be showing. Remember the polls had a 98% chance Hillary was going to win.

2018-11-06 22:55:43 UTC

how long until the "I voted so I'm superior" posting ends

2018-11-06 22:55:43 UTC

was that an everyone or did someone ping me specifically?

2018-11-06 22:55:45 UTC

We should encourage people are are uniformed to stay home.

2018-11-06 22:55:52 UTC

this is pissing me off even more than ads

2018-11-06 22:56:01 UTC

ya, that was one problem with obamacare. It actually mandated everyone, above a certain income, be required to buy a product or service (insurance) or was penalized.

2018-11-06 22:56:13 UTC

I'm just excited for the news cycle regardless of who wins and twitter freakouts

2018-11-06 22:56:25 UTC

Same

2018-11-06 22:56:44 UTC

And yet the Republicans blocked its removal. Figure that one out.

2018-11-06 22:56:50 UTC

i vote even though its pretty meainglesss state level and congress seats are overwhelming state gop and gov and senate is safe dem not a single thing other then like water commisioner or something will be a competitive race

2018-11-06 22:56:52 UTC

First polls close 4 minutes

2018-11-06 22:56:54 UTC

Thats the advantage of being Canadian though my vote does not matter so its just popcorn for me

2018-11-06 22:57:04 UTC

I'm pretty biased because Stacey Abrams who is running for governor sponsered a state bill to go to people's houses and seize firearms.

2018-11-06 22:57:11 UTC

So it really matters.

^ THIS EXACTLY

2018-11-06 22:57:42 UTC

@Physco And you have Justin Trudeau to kick around 😉

2018-11-06 22:57:43 UTC

@Bookworm rinos...

2018-11-06 22:57:49 UTC

Geez. I had no idea you guys felt so strongly about this.

2018-11-06 22:57:56 UTC

I mean, if the Dems win, there's probably going to be political gridlock for the rest of presidency term, but if Republicans secure house and senate, I can expect...whatever's been happening in Legislation for the past 2 years?
