going to sound cruel but often higher iqs are more often tied with higher suicide rates. Scary to think how many people who could have made immense changes to human society have killed themselves prior to being allowed the freedom to do so
if it wasn't for stuff like how idealogy so often pollutes our fields of science in constant never ending cycles then we'd likely have invented immortality or brain transfers by now
look at what we've done in the last 100 years and the rate of acceleration in advancements as we speed toward a singularity AI... and imagine if we didn't constantly burn knowledge in the name of what were essentially beliefs that were against truth
