without ever looking at the numbers
they just see "welfare"
"39%"
and assume that is unemployment
They ignore the impact on the working class.
BUT important fact, if you run a welfare state
you physically cannot run open borders
i have to say that unemployement as a male would be a massive cost to me. It's really depressing overall
I been there years ago, cant say living off 20€ a week was a happy time.
Running a welfare state with open borders will quickly deplete the welfare due to outside influence.
yes
hell, just being idle and not working destroys your self worth fast
that also
But hey i had my own dr peterson back in the day
Wasnt fun to get out of school right before the whole thing crashed
@R9b1t are you high?
that is part of why I view reports of so many men leaving the workforce as being worrying. Would indicate a fairly deep systemic depression overall, and likely corelates to the opiate epidemic and high suicide rates we have atm @tritrium
thats possible
But i think men leaving the workforce could also possibly be because whats the point of working you ass off when there is nothing for you at home
well, thankfully, i feel like what i do at work matters
so it doesn't matter that i go home and feel lonely
my 3 rescue doggies disgree with that at least. Always feels good to return home to that
lol
I mean i dont have it, but i like the job im doing right now.
But i can certainly imagine that working shit jobs + not having anything to work for, is not exactly gonna encourage men to do any more then bare minimum
hence part time jobs just to support themselves
yeah
It certainly didnt encourage me at all back in those days
i was done with it
You gotta understand, these worthless insecure jobs that just keep on being tossed your way for years, put your entire life on hold.
You dont get any value of them other then that you can say u worked at place X Y Z, and you gotta explain in every interview for your next shit job, why that didnt work out.
In the meantime, you cant take out loans, you cant buy a house, you can barely rent a place (because insecure income), your whole life is put at pause by these kinds of "flexible" jobs
Solution for me was to say fuck it, stopped working and decided to be a dick and get welfare in order to get my electrical engineer degree.
took me a few very hard years of below min standard living to get me where i am today
I spent 15 years in the military, 4 years in Iraq, bronze star, jmsm, and can’t find a job anywhere
did you eat ramen?
@tritrium oh I've been there. Worked in factories for a while but the fact is that most of them now are all classified as temporary jobs and are owned by venture capitalist firms that are barely more then vultures waiting to pick the corpse of the place clean
That sucks fireonmountain
it's so weird how in situations like that, what's meant to be a financial safety net is the only way to succeed.
Yea its a calculation
But i wouldnt advise anyone doing it
