As far as I've seen, the gay marriage question is a non-issue at this point.
I don't think we are there yet Antireal.
You want an Amendment for it dusty?
Can you point me to examples of an anti-LGBT reaction since the SC ruling?
We got maybe another decade to go before people are openingly for it.
they are marrying people to literally any object they want though. Marry yourself? fine. Marry a rollercoaster? fine... what is the value of marriage then?
Yes I like to see amendment passed.
Ehhhh...
That way it can't be overturned or ruled out.
The nation must accept it.
People still break amendments
Antireal, Donald Trump's election. /s Lol.
Those people get fined and jailed.
The ones that infringe upon other's amendments.
Trump was for LGBT though...
He was
Is joke. You should laugh.
Has been for decades.
He still is for the LGBT.
I mean for fuck sakes a woman married her OWN daughter
That is gay incest.
I thought we had incest laws for that.
there has to be a limit
Isn't that going a little to far?
"Legislating morality!"
"Shut up, Libertarians!"
Incest is bad on a public level and scientific level.
Depleting the gene pool leads to more mutates that can affect living standards of the person who was born from incest relationships.
they have women married to trees, sunken ships, etc.... what the hell is going on with marriage?
That... really doesn't affect anyone except for the person marrying a tree.
Let them.
Anyway, my point is that I'm not seeing anyone trying to overturn the SC ruling. I don't think gay marriage is an issue. You don't need outright support for it; you just need indifference.
You could argue that anyone crazy enough to marry an inanimate object should be off the marriage market anyway.
Antireal... do you want to risk any gains the LGBT has gotten through hard work?
What do you mean?
It has to be done right, the first time or they will spend decades regaining what they lost?
i brought goodies
The Averse reaction people will have from being forced to do something that they think is against their will.
Basically lots of religious people think it is against their religion to marry LGBT couples.
Nothing's at risk. No one opposes it. Not the Republican party, not the Democrats, not the Libertarians... It's a non-issue as far as I can tell.
