No, because the EU army will cut NATO member spending on NATO goals

2018-11-13 18:07:56 UTC

Khan what ?

2018-11-13 18:08:02 UTC

What nato goals ?

2018-11-13 18:08:31 UTC

Only obligation i know of is invest 2% of budget into your own army

2018-11-13 18:08:45 UTC

How will eu army negate that ?

2018-11-13 18:08:59 UTC

Right now EU NATO member aren't meeting spending goals for NATO plans, the EU army would take money away from National Forces to participate for NATO

2018-11-13 18:09:09 UTC

What plans ?

2018-11-13 18:09:12 UTC

Again

2018-11-13 18:09:24 UTC

That doesnt make any sense

2018-11-13 18:09:32 UTC

Readyness plans,

2018-11-13 18:09:43 UTC

No such plans exist

2018-11-13 18:09:46 UTC

I told you

2018-11-13 18:10:07 UTC

The obligation is to spend 2% of budget on military

2018-11-13 18:10:09 UTC

Yes

2018-11-13 18:10:19 UTC

Eu army is military

2018-11-13 18:10:25 UTC

So how is that braking it ?

2018-11-13 18:10:27 UTC

"I want to build a real security dialogue with Russia, which is a country I respect, a European country - but we must have a Europe that can defend itself on its own without relying only on the United States."

Speaking about cyber security, he also said: "We have to protect ourselves with respect to China, Russia and even the United States of America."

2018-11-13 18:10:33 UTC

Said Macron

2018-11-13 18:10:37 UTC

EU army would devert funds from NATO participating forces

2018-11-13 18:10:46 UTC

How ?

2018-11-13 18:10:54 UTC

Khan thats nonsense

2018-11-13 18:11:04 UTC

There isnt any two army budgets ?

2018-11-13 18:11:14 UTC

Each member has one army

2018-11-13 18:12:29 UTC

NATO can call up German Paratroopers and Alpine Troopers to help in Afganstan, the EU forces wouldn't be avalible for NATO operations since they are at the beck and call of the EU concuil first and foremost

2018-11-13 18:12:36 UTC

Ok then why emphasize an EU army?

2018-11-13 18:12:49 UTC

if this does nothing but enhance NATO why refer to it as something else?

2018-11-13 18:12:53 UTC

Khan thats not how nato works tho

2018-11-13 18:12:55 UTC

😔

2018-11-13 18:13:07 UTC

That is how NATO works

2018-11-13 18:13:16 UTC

Blackhawk because sometimes eu wants other thing then usa

2018-11-13 18:13:26 UTC

I know because I did joint ops in the US Army with NATO partners

2018-11-13 18:13:37 UTC

I dont remember usa dealing with refugee crysis for example

2018-11-13 18:13:45 UTC

Bruno Le Maire came out in support for French President Emmanuel Macron’s call for a “real European army” but suggested Brussels should go one further and establish itself as an “empire”. Mr Le Maire made the shock admission after the US President branded his French counterpart’s comments “very insulting” and suggested EU countries should instead focus on living up to their Nato spending commitments. "it's about Europe having to become a kind of Empire, as China is. And how the US is," the French finance minister told the Handelsblatt newspaper.

2018-11-13 18:14:23 UTC

Now thats just french memer idont care about him (the empire guy)

2018-11-13 18:14:27 UTC

NATO cant stop the refugee crisis unless its an actual attack on a nation or peacekeeping is required

2018-11-13 18:14:38 UTC

But eu army brakes bo rule in nato

2018-11-13 18:14:40 UTC

hes the minister of finance in Macron's government

2018-11-13 18:14:44 UTC

As far as i can see

2018-11-13 18:14:57 UTC

Yeah minister of finance doesnt speak for eu

2018-11-13 18:15:00 UTC

If establishing an EU army mean all the NATO members increasing their military budget, I would be happy
