Historically speaking, modern science has discovered that all humans originally came from europe, went down to Africa, evolved a bit, realized Africa fucking sucks, went back to Europe, and then evolved a LOT (specifically to have white skin).
From a strictly evolutionary standpoint, that's about where we're at.
