....like in Germany....
where not even the Police cares about Speed Limits
They don't have speed limits on highways
And they actually have less death on road than France for instance which has REALLY strict speed limits
If you had a german autobahn you might GET there in a day... but then do something there and drive back? Come on.
110mph is comfortable cruising speed for me π
To be honest, I think that most of the deaths are reduced by the TΓΌV we have here, not the drivers
Except on the A7, there is always someone counting the tiles in the tunnel π
Luckily the A7 is far away, the next one is the A1
Yeah, the TΓΌV (quality control for cars, for those that donβt know) is helping a lot.
```110mph is comfortable cruising speed for me :wink:```
yeah, that's the upper limit for comfortable long travel things.
Usually 160-180 is the best, if you're under it, you fall asleep, if you're over it it might be too tyring...
Depending on the car of course. With an older Skoda Fabia with the old suspension and a bit of wind, even 130km/h is very stressful.
KPH you mean?
I didn't realize how small England is compared to the US until I started emailing back and forth with someone from there.
Yes, of course!
Imperial measurement things are cancer π
180 mph is a bit... much...
Most cars here are limited to 250km/h anyway...
England is small compared to everything π
Apparently, it's around the size of Alabama, lol.
The US is about 28 times the size of Germany but only has about 4 times the population. Comparing the two is just stupid.
Which is like...normal driving speed for road trips
What? Why are blocking traffic? π
oof'murica
But yeah, European countries are small. Or more accurately, the US is stupidly, unnaturally big.
More serious: there are cars in europe that are not made for speeds above 80mph or 100 at most
Yeah and the population density of Europe is insane
Like, you never get a scope of how....stupidly huge it is until you drive across it.
And even then.
There's this weirdness tot he US
And imagine some idiots think you can bring in another 192 Million people into Germany.
oof stan lee <:OOF:424169714068094986>
A sort of "this is borderline Lovecraftian" level of distance.
The US also is a really new country, it was only populated like 200 years ago
yeah
Europe was 2000 years ago.
Well, "populated"
The US is populated? I thought it was mostly desert π
Eh
