2018-11-18 00:41:52 UTC

pretty good stuff

2018-11-18 00:42:47 UTC

Igitt.

2018-11-18 00:50:43 UTC

damn, you make me want to play zelda 2

2018-11-18 00:51:03 UTC

there are only 2 zelda games i've never beat

2018-11-18 00:51:13 UTC

1 because it was way too fucking hard for me to finish when i played it

2018-11-18 00:51:15 UTC

and 2 because i hated it

2018-11-18 00:53:16 UTC

youtube pissing me off actually

2018-11-18 00:53:30 UTC

more and more they recommend videos from MSM

2018-11-18 00:53:37 UTC

if i wanted msm, i'd watch msm.

2018-11-18 00:56:51 UTC

lol

2018-11-18 00:57:18 UTC

1 was glorious. 2... 2 was the kind of game that eventually led to the epic that was SOTN.

2018-11-18 00:57:51 UTC

not that that makes 2 good in like... most ways.

2018-11-18 00:58:19 UTC

but it's like a kid learning to walk... he's going to fall on his ugly face and break it a few times before he figures it out.

2018-11-18 00:59:39 UTC

I actually like 2

2018-11-18 01:00:01 UTC

It wasn't that bad, the mechanics work well. Just wasn't like the first one

2018-11-18 01:00:51 UTC

Majora's Mask is my favourite though

2018-11-18 01:01:12 UTC

And Link's adventure is my favourite 2D one

2018-11-18 01:01:24 UTC

Though Link to the past was pretty good too

2018-11-18 01:01:39 UTC

And Minish Cap was a lot of fun

2018-11-18 01:01:59 UTC

it had its ups and downs. Any platforming section in it was a down. The leveling system it used was a down. Certain enemies and the way they fought were a major down, particularly the final boss and especially the way attacks had no leadup or signs, all things that eventually were cleaned up in later games.

2018-11-18 01:03:05 UTC

Maybe it's nostalgia getting the better of me. I had both the Zelda games on a bootleg NES

2018-11-18 01:03:24 UTC

It did have some crazy good ups too though. The downswing/upswing moves were so epic that Smash Bros took those as key moves for Link.

2018-11-18 01:03:52 UTC

to imagine such a simple move in Zelda2 was such a clever thing and worked so well

2018-11-18 01:03:59 UTC

They should make a Zelda 2 style Zelda game again. Might make it good this time

2018-11-18 01:04:26 UTC

At least better than the Philips games

2018-11-18 01:04:43 UTC

I liked the first gameboy zelda game.

2018-11-18 01:05:13 UTC

link's awakening

2018-11-18 01:05:47 UTC

A Link Between Worlds is the best top-down zelda game.

2018-11-18 01:05:58 UTC

I thought it was quite clever that they recognized the limitations of a set button for sword only and allowed you to swap in any weapons you wanted.

2018-11-18 01:06:18 UTC

I actually liked the phillips games

2018-11-18 01:06:25 UTC

call me crazy

2018-11-18 01:06:34 UTC

took some getting used to, but once i did, i liked it

2018-11-18 01:06:40 UTC

It was an amazing game when you had freaking BOMB ARROWS by... Using Bomb, And Arrow, at the same time.

2018-11-18 01:07:17 UTC

@Atkins , i agree. A link between worlds was pretty amazing.

2018-11-18 01:07:30 UTC

if more stuff like that kept happening in future zelda games, it would've really just run away as the franchise that absolutely no one could live without. Not that it isn't big as is, but it's kinda a niche of its own.

2018-11-18 01:08:13 UTC

Botw seems to have really divided people

2018-11-18 01:08:43 UTC

Has it?

2018-11-18 01:09:09 UTC

I respect BotW for doing something different on many levels, but I also have lessened respect for it because they were obviously trying to copy the whole open world notion of everything, and the constant weapon breakage seems to have been poorly playtested.

2018-11-18 01:09:10 UTC

BotW could've used more enemy variety, and the weapon degradation was a little extreme, but you have to admit it's an amazing game.
