A better measure of intelligence is the ability to process information and use it to get a result you desire.

See examples of things like crows solving simple puzzles to get snacks. That, is a certain level of intelligence. It is measurable.

Wether or not I enjoy anally pleasuring myself with a stick... not really a sign of intelligence outside of wether or not I'm smart enough to actually do it or not. Now if I decide that I enjoy it, but am too stupid to do it... then that's a sign of stupidity. Or likewise if I decide I hate it, and somehow keep doing it to myself (without alternate cause), that would also be a sign of stupidity.
