If you're talking about Tim's video on his second channel today about the troop deployment it was mainly about how the U.S. Military can't be used in place of civilian authorities to enforce the law.

Unless it's about enforcing Federal law. So I guess it could count if Federal troops were deployed to a sancutary city not complying with Federal immigration law.

The caravan is made up of non-U.S. Citizens. So that would be one reason. The troops aren't there to do the work of regular police.

If you didn't need to protect the borders with a military then most states wouldn't have a military.

I think they are playing semantics where they can defend the Border but cannot affect any arrest because it is considered trespassing which could possibly not be a federal matter
