For non-selfish reason's, the world is going to die if we cease to exist, i see it as a service to my people, refusing to dis-service my ancestors who produced me, and putting forth children who will contribute dearly to the world, either they be a blue collar worker building the foundations of a city, or someone who will fight for generations after him, it is not cruel, the more siblings statistically coincides with happier the child.

Take in account the chance of 1/5 possibly having a mental disability where they can’t function. My dad was the youngest of 11. He got to know all of his siblings because the oldest were in their early 20's when he was a kid and they would take him places. The only real pit fall of that was his parents, particularly his dad was so much older than him. My grandma was 40 when she had him and my grandpa was in his late 40's or early 50's. I would never want to be that much older than my children. I would feel as if I would miss out on too much of their life, especially if I don't live into my 90's like my grandpa did. He died at 96 in 2014. My grandma is still alive at 93. Has both an aunt and uncle of mine that really didn't quite make it with the adulthood thing to take care of her.

Yeah, by raw statistic's, if the parents are caring, the more siblings, the happier the child.
