I've run across several people alread, all of them armed.

Including one dumbass who blew up his own ship by ramming my station.

@Alpaca13 People are Bitching about SC being in Alpha too long, but it's basically as you said.

CIG has made it pretty crystal-clear that they won't release the game until it's good and ready.

They have the money to keep up development (NOT feature-creep mind you) for the time being, so they're using that time to finish adding everything planned and continue refining the game.
