When I was really young I saw a movie where people were assassinating somebody by planting scorpions all throughout their room. One was on the ceiling fan and when they turned it on the scorpion fell onto the bed and it stung them when they got into the covers. It took me 10 years to get over that fear that something was in my covers

I still don’t trust hotels though

I do not get into hotels covers

No scorpions pinching me

In true OCD fashion checking every seam and inch of the fabric of the cover to check for scorpions

Somewhat similar to my fear of water for a couple of years after almost drowning in a swimming pool (blacked out and woke up in a pool chair gurpling up water)

After that I could not play the Super Mario 64 level where you spawn in the air and land in a big puddle of water

Lol i just bring extra blankets to lay on top. There’s been a couple times though where I’ve gone into the covers but I was definitely attentive when I put my legs in
