I'd rather live under the authoritarian governments of Europe in the 30s than a democratic America
Rigging the elections
The reconstruction killed a constitutionalist government 100%.
GOP was corrupt then and it is now.
The country just started and had too much “we want independence” left after the revolutionary war so they got angry
I get it
The department of treasury stole billions of dollars worth (today) in 1865-1866 from the state of Alabama, almost destroying the state economy.
Well Alabama still fucking sucks
Thé union deserves everything it got if not more so.
Alabama was one of the most economic prosperous states until the US Army torched everything.
The Union destroyed this state.
Lincoln’s victory is paved in the burnt out houses of the entire south, the desolate farms and plantations, and the dead of Confederate soldiers, who are fellow Americans according to his view.
States I wouldn’t live in
• California
•New York
•Alabama
•Hawaii
•Oregon
•Washington
•New Mexico
•Texas
•Maryland
•Kentucky
•New Jersey
•Mississippi
•Arkansas
•Michigan
•Missouri
It is no victory, but a conquest.
I've lived in Kentucky
Atlanta got what they fucking deserved
is shit
I agree
Atlanta didn’t deserve what it got.
Sherman should’ve been brought on war crime charges.
I disagree.
They had a chance to rebuild and they still fucked it up
Remember, many more union troops died than Confederate lmfao.
Okay
The Confederates were the very fabric of the Jeffersonian American ideal, it’s death brings a curse upon this Union.
But who took the loser trophy in history
This Union is cursed because of its actions.
Is that your argument?
US is looking pretty fucked now.
That’s such a weak argument jfc
Lmfao
My argument is that the south threw a bitch fit
I love history but the civil war never should of fucking happened
This is no union of brotherhood and mutual respect that founded this nation, birthing it into existence. But it is an oppressive state where you’d be homeless if you didn’t pay Uncle Sam a fraction of your paycheck.
The founding principles of this great union have died.
Could've been avoided if not for a series of stupid fecken presidents
Of course it died. Modern day is nothing like before
That does not mean we should accept it.
Ah yes, because it's totally right that the tiniest population paid 80% of taxes, got continually stripped of rights, and had the union violate the founding freedoms of the founding fathers.
The erosion of our founding principles leaves us with a warped, cursed nation rather than a union.
