Since it’s a new law, if you’re past 21 you don’t count.

It’ll be a whole new thing starting easy.

Don’t make people who are 35 serve the 2years

How would we divide then among branches, like it would be quite a disparity to send some to the Coast guard, then some to the Marines, how do we decide who goes where?

But the regular draft is only a tiny portion, not everyone, they only use the draft to keep numbers during war, not to increase numbers most of the time.

Not all of age males get called during the draft.

Only those selected.

Literally the exact the same thing though...you fill what needs to be filled.

Or they choose the branch for you, you take the asvab and they give you the job you qualify for

If you were selected in the draft, they told you what your MOS was going to be, did not matter if you were army or navy or airforce, you didn't decide.

But at 21 you’re basically put where you’re needed

Yeah, that's what alot of people did during Vietnam, they joined the Coast guard, or Airforce, or Navy instead of being put into the Army or Marines.
