We let people make these small choices without second thought, because they have the ability to be swayed away from making them after they do it once so that they live better lives later. Making the decision to kill yourself is way more severe. There is no coming back from that. Making a life changing (specifically ending) decision shouldn't be so fucking easy for everyone. Way too many people would short sightedly off themselves. They are making decisions that they cannot think properly about (By your argumentation that kids shouldn't be allowed to chose to have sex because they have a limited mindset when it comes to that). When someone that is temporarily under extreme stress, their judgement is clouded by whatever event is causing the stress. They are only thinking through that lens of tragedy and are operating on a narrow world view. They are temporarily incapable of thinking about anything other than what has just happened to them. Why do you think we have crimes of passion? Or pleas of temporary insanity? Some people are temporarily incapable of good judgement, and suicidotron 5000s would enable these people to act on temporarily insane thought of suicide easily. @Redneo
