Lots of women would give a arm and a leg to be able to make money from prostitution because it provides income for them. It being regulated protect the women in that profession and the customers they provide servers too.

Not to mention it locks out the pimps and criminal elements.

Also a woman who would want a prostitute can probably just go to a bar

Yeah, regulating prostitution protects the people it regulates.

If they get in legal business, they become legit and regulated.

Just like the EPA protects the environment.

And use their newfound legal money to lobby government to deregulate the business
