@Coochie coo or a therapy dog? labs are great for those with ptsd
I'm on pristiq, and in group therapy for social phobia :)
I can remember everything what happen during the wreck and at the hospital, but how the cops got there or how I ended up in the hospital.
I just filled in how I got to the hospital because they would use a ambulance right?
I don't even remember what caused the wreck.
I seriously don't think any of that matters
like, what you don't remember
like, the therapist isn't gonna be like, "yeah, you've got [all the symptoms you told us], but how'd you get to the hospital?"
So I should see a therapist about this?
absolutely
I'm looking into getting a dog actually, probably not a therapy dog as they are $$$ but I'll definately take it to obedience class :) @Misomania
Even if it been 10 years.
or do research about what you can do for yourself
Im back retards *dab*
Doesn't matter how long it's been
but a therapist is probably more reliable
^
if you can't afford it or don't trust them, try to do some of it yourself
I have a lot of trust issues.
the more you expose yourself to what triggers you, the more you'll overcome the issue
^
Since we are annoymous, I can talk to you guys.
and just have them turn corners slowly and within view of the rest of the lot
Your body implies things
But in person... not really.
that'd probably help to do that a lot
I would avoid you.
Maybe try verbal journaling. Using like audacity or something to just record yourself venting and talking about yout problems
That's what I'm gonna start doing
Or at least trying to start
@Dusty Morgan Your trust issues are probably irrational look at the previous people who betrayed you and the people you want to trust
I'm same way with people. Random stranger? avoid. Random doggie? glad to say hello
Haven't had...the motivation...to
Same Misomania.
I do lack motivation.
Like Grinch here...
yeah that's a big progress killer
Id say most people lack reverence or standard and that feeds into lack of motivation
What?
but you have to think about the worst your symptoms have been and then decide whether or not it's worth putting in the effort to get rid of them
