patreon is already under fire for all kinds of things
And they're booting people left and right to avoid risk at all costs. Any other payment provider will do the same.
eh
maybe
solutions will emerge
So if Sargon signs up for a porn payment provider, they'll fold just the same.
and my money is not on some custom blockchain scheme
BitChute tried. The porn processors wouldn't touch.. Ask Vee.
The solutions are on their way. They are cryptocurrencies. For *reasons*, which I partially understand, paradigm is contrarian on crypto's ability to solve these problems.
we have cryptocurrencies
accept bitcoin
But we don't have the smartcontracts to implement patron pledges.
more like Brokecoin, amirite? 😉
We will have them very soon.
There are good reasons why crypto in its current form, won't be the solution. Mostly to do with the majority of major banks banning the purchase of crypto with their credit cards, and BRAM regulations being changed a few months ago to label crypto companies as 'high risk'
Bitcoin sucks.
It is an enormous waste of resources which is useless.
and shitcoins suck as well
All of them?
So you can transfer your crypto back and forth, but you can't turn it into cash to pay your taxes/rent/bills.
Well, you can at the moment.
How does anyone cash out of crypto?
There are several.
It's a vulnerable point though. If I were PFAW I'd be lobbying banks to chokepoint the crypto exchanges.
lol
hawalla
I bought my dog in crypto.
But little else.
*hawala (sp)
That said, you will be able to spend it directly soon enough.
soon enough to feed a family this month?
And the aim is to make the FIAT-crypto-FIAT path as smooth as something like Patreon.
No.
what's the transaction loss on FRN-crypto-FRN
Fiat->Crypto is already very difficult for US persons.
But probably sooner than a boomer like Sargon is going to start processing his own credit card transactions.
Some.
Crypto->Fiat is possible with a little inconvenience and significant transaction fees.
Yes. There are transaction fees. And?
But it's very vulnerable overall. Easy for lobbyists to smear as 'high-risk'.
