'colored people' = racist ... 'people of color' = not racist

If you called them Mixed Race . they will tell you your moms Mixed Rice

In south africa the PC lingo doesnt exist

kind of like how the US sees Middle Eastern as a seperate group from Asians while England (I pray to god I got that right) sees the Middle East as Asia

I think people are now taught that ME is part of asia, it wasnt when I was in school .. and I was born in the ME ;P but I think most people see the ME as a seperate region (however inaccurate that view is from a geological POV) from Asia. Also to us Asia generally means India and Pakistan. Not sure we really see Chinese / Japanese / Koreans / Thai, etc as Asian

Some international relations books I've read stated that after 9/11, the US started using the term Middle East to distinguish it from Asia (implying ME was a part of Asia). A year or two ago my little brother told me how his girlfriend was being taught Asia includes ME. Usually India and Pakistan are considered ME - when I was growing up - but now India is being labelled as Asian
