"As some people have noted, we were expecting the world to be taken over by Megacorps like Weyland-Yutani, Tyrell Industries, OCP, Cyberdyne Systems or similar that would usher in Cyberpunk and the robotic apocalypse, synthetic humans, being delivered to our AI overlords, or at least into a horrible future with cool flying cars, holographic/robotic waifus and cyborgs where it rains all day, and it looks like it's night out 24/7 due to the overwhelming smog.
Instead we seem to have gotten stuck in a retarded Soypunk dystopia where the world is being taken over by limp-wristed Soycorps like Google, Facebook, Apple and Twitter that are triggered by the mere sight of titties or naked skin and seem to care way too much what people think or what they write about on their social media to the point that they will ruin someone's life over it if they don't fall to their knees and apologize profusely enough for having commited wrongthought. A crayon-colored world filled with ball pits, crying low-testosterone manchildren, ponies, furries and ugly transexuals, where insulting people or getting their pronoun wrong on the Internet is considered hate speech and a criminal act worse than commiting murder.
If we had to descend into dystopia, it could at least have been a cool one with space ships, robots, lasers and alien invasions and not a really fucking lame one with cucks and chemicals in the water turning the frigging frogs gay."
